This is inspiring some awesome fan posters out there...
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
They actually made that top one the official IMAX poster they gave away for the Thursday night premiere. Been looking forward to hanging mine up.
Here's the soundtrack in film order.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I want to see it again! Torn between it and the Rifftrax Live Godzilla thing Thursday night. Would be sweet if the box office put GOTG ahead of TMNT next weekend.
Are there any deluxe action figures out there? If they make a "life size" Rocket, I'm in deep trouble. ;)

I've seen it twice so far and I'm still thinking about maybe going to see it again, maybe this time in 2D.

Now that's an action figure! I shudder to think how much it costs these days.

That's not all, these are pretty awesome...

Saw it today. Incredible. Not Star Wars incredible, but the same vein for sure. Best movie I've seen in forever.

So that's why he looked so familiar! I could not for the life of me place him.

I went out on Monday to buy a copy at Walmart, I couldn't find a single copy. Ended up buying it on iTunes.SilverWook said:

Keep in mind there are two versions. The two disc edition has the original score. (And different artwork.) I've only seen that at Barnes and Noble.

If you got a Guardians movie with a bunny instead of a raccoon, this might be why. ;)

Wow! I have been looking at more pictures of those figures above. They look awesome. I am really impressed by the Gamora figure. The likeness is fantastic. I showed my son the figure picture and he thought that it was a photo of Zoe Saldana ! I may have to invest in these.
Off to see the film again tonight.
I don't believe that. How does a digital copy of a 2 year old movie get transferred to a hard drive, encoded, shipped, and decoded without anyone noticing that it's the wrong movie? The run times are different, the studios are different, and projectionists still test the copies to make sure they're not corrupted, so they would notice it's the wrong movie. Especially if they already made the mistake before.SilverWook said:

The sad state of auto-pilot, usher-free and projectionist-free cinema these days. On the rare occasions when I've watched a film 3 or 4 times at the cinema in recent years, it's scary how completely different it can look depending on the venue and if they've hired anybody whose job it is to give a sh*t how a film is projected.

So I've listened to the GOTG soundtrack to death already and I wanted more of the same smile inducing music, so decided to make another "Awesome" mixtape of groovy, pop, rock etc tracks from the 1967-1979 period. Here's the playlist mixtape I put together on iTunes a TDK D90...
SIDE A
1. Sparks - The No. 1 Song In Heaven (Single Version)
2. Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak
3. Luxury - Green Hearts
4. Blondie - Fan Mail
5. The Hues Corporation - Miracle Maker (Sweet Soul Shaker)
6. Big Star - The Ballad Of El Goodo
SIDE B
1. George Harrison - What Is Life
2. Elton John - Nice And Slow
3. The Knack - My Sharona
4. The Modern Lovers - Roadrunner
5. Tommy James & The Shondells - Crimson & Clover (Single Version)
6. Roxy Music - Virginia Plain
If you have the tracks you can have a listen. I couldn't help imagining what scenes they'd soundtrack in the sequel. Obviously Thin Lizzy's 'Jailbreak is dependant on them getting arrested again LOL. I'd like to hear other peoples' GOTG mixtapes.

Trained projectionists are as rare as Jedi knights these days. I don't know about the UK, but older family films are brought back as morning matinees in theaters here, especially in the summer.

Oh yeah, my local theater has those, its like free or something on Tuesdays. Maybe they did indeed play the wrong one once. But three times? You need a better labeling system.SilverWook said:

I've only seen this movie once so far, but the time I saw it, the audio seemed far lower than normal. Wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I actually missed the IMAX version of this since the TMNT crap took over before I could go to see it, but from the IMAX preview I went to for this over a month ago, it seemed like a way more enjoyable experience. Does IMAX actually have people calibrating their systems on a daily basis, as they claim on their site?
