In the novelization, Dooku is too shellshocked in the realization the Emperor used him and of his defeat to Anakin. He begged for his life and Palpatine had goaded Anakin to eliminate him. He wouldn'tve had enough time especially if the Emperor can simply mentally dominate him to prevent him from saying anything
