Nor do i want Palpatine in episode VII having cheated death through some Sith trick taught by his master.

"Luke Skywalker did not kill me i manipulated midi chlorians to survive."

Nor do I want Plagueis in episode VII.

I'll just have to hope he's lying.

It will be easy to fool myself until I see an official video of them, anyway.

Something like the world devastators or even bigger star destroyers seen in dark empire.

Death Star III.  Sun crusher, prototype death star etc.

No burp jokes, no poop jokes, no fart jokes, no comedy aliens hitting themselves in the head jokes.

No wars between faceless disposable characters I don't care about.

Less alien characters, Yoda, Jabba and Chewie were fine but I don't want tonnes of weird looking creatures as main characters. Keep them in Cantina like scenes.

Less exposition, more plot driven action (I don't want some guy over to one side of a computer generated room explaining why action scene 23 is going to spawn in five minutes time and form the basis for a computer game and a lego range).

Women as main characters who do things other than prepare lunch, stand around wearing a range of clothes to justify 12 action figures or sit and talk slowly.

Robots that stand up for their rights even when the good guys threaten to get their pet monkey to pull them to bits.

I don't think that there will be Sith because JJ and Kasdan haven't shown any signs of caring about the Sith at all.

Thinking about it, I don't want to see Luke as a chaste monk who lives by himself. I want him to have a wife/girlfriend and at least one child.

Luke has been through a hell of a lot though. (He didn't have a whole lot of time to really deal with his father issues before confronting them head on.)  When the major battles were won, sneaking off to some remote world might have been what he wanted.

There's still room in the post Jedi years for him to have had a little romance and father a child before vanishing.

The island location Mark was filming on recently (with one new cast member) looks like a place an old Star Warrior might retreat to if they were seeking inner peace.

No Empire. That's the biggest issue to me. These movies take place 30 years after the originals. Seeing Stormtroopers or anything of the sort should be out of the question.

At least the Empire wasn't destroyed onscreen, unlike the Sith.

I'd actually be OK if they have an interesting situation where the Republic has been re-instated and they're sort of re-establishing things after the Empire. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the Grand Moffs being tried as war criminals etc. etc. I also wouldn't mind if there were still some groups of stormtroopers and imperial officers resisting the republic, but just in a way where it's like in the aftermath of the fall of the empire. But overall I agree, I don't want the civil war to still be taking place with huge battles or anything. It's actually a fine line to walk because as much as I'd like to see the things I described above happen, they could really be a lot like the boring politics in the prequels if they're done poorly.

Also, if it's too easy for the Sith to return, fighting against them is meaningless.

I'm sure that in 1998 people thought that Star Wars is about Rebels vs. Empire.

I don't remember anybody complaining about the absence of Sith in the Thrawn books.

Really bad romantic dialogue. (I know, leave it to the girl in the group to bring this up!)

I had no problem with the romance between padme and anakin. but the dialogue between them often made me cringe.

I much prefer the smart, sassy dialogue between han and leia in the OT. the "i'd just as soon kiss a wookie" kind of dialogue. ;)

I don't want to see Tatooine because that would just be too much of a coincidence if they end up there again. But, I'm sure they'll find a way to shove Tattooine into the new movies since it's so famous now

No more shots of Coruscant, there are hordes of worlds that they've never visited. Why not send them to Onderon, Lehon, Ziost, or a planet that's never been put on film?

Nope here are some more CGI shots of Coruscant's skyline!

Better as in "GOTG was excellent, but I want Ep. VII to be excellenter!", or better as in "GOTG was lame; I don't want Ep. VII to be lame."?
