Other than Jar Jar and midichlorians, what don't you want in episode 7?

I don't want a republic. There needs to be something left for the heroes to accomplish, we already had an entire trilogy with a republic, and the prequels show that republics don't belong in Star Wars.

This has less to do with the movie itself, but I hope they don't advertise it by "Episode VII" and actually advertise it by it's title. That's one thing I hated about the prequels was how they were referred to as I, II, and III. Then that crap seeped into the OT and they started being referred to as IV, V, and VI. I guess they advertised the prequels by their numbers because the titles were so lame.

EDIT: I know they advertise it as Ep. VII now, but once they pick a title I hope they refer to it as that rather than simply, "Star Wars Episode VII"

Exactly how I feel.

I don't want predictability.  One of the great things about Star Wars was not knowing what would happen next or where it would be.

The "Darth" title.

References to any Darths other than Vader.

Two-dimensional villains who are evil for the sake of being evil.

KISS reject darksiders.

Sith in general.

Flying Artoo.

References/allusions to specific events and characters from the PT.

Brown desert hermit Jedi robes.

Leia wielding any lightsaber that isn't red.

"Youngling".

"Padawan".

RGB-only lightsabers.

PT-styled lightsaber duels.

Hayden as Anakin's ghost.

Further universe shrinkage.

I don't want to see pointless lightsaber fights that have no consequence to the overall plot of the movie (like in Attack of the Clones specifically, but pretty much all 3 prequels). I don't want all bad guys to be names "Darth", and I don't want all bad guys to have red lightsabers. Also wonder if the villains will be Sith, supposedly Disney believes that all 6 movies are the, "immovable pillars of the saga" or whatever, and if that confusing non-descript prophecy from the PT was correct then Anakin destroyed the Sith, meaning the Emperor and himself. Lucas said that exact thing in an interview once, so if Disney does count the PT as canon then they'd have to accept that silliness and work around it, also, I know they say the PT is canon, but I'm sure they won't even do so much as watch the prequels before making the ST. Oh, I also don't want to see Carrie Fisher in the metal bikini again from Return of the Jedi.

Oh, I'm 100.99% certain Fisher will never wear the metal bikini ever again, in or out of the ST.

I'm confused: Do you want Sith or don't you want Sith or do you not care?

I personally don't care. I was just curious if they'd do it or not since so many people seem to think that Star Wars is about Sith vs. Jedi. But if they do use the Sith, then they'd be contradicting the prequels. Again, I have no preference, but I'd love to see them blatantly contradict the prequels in the ST.

What can this thread achieve which this thread couldn't?

Once again I suggest a thread merge.

That thread is exclusively about what the prequels did wrong. This thread is about anything that episode 7 shouldn't do.

Wishful thinking from KOTOR fanboys. The word "Sith" only appears in one of the six opening crawls and most people outside the internet and fandom don't have a clue what "Sith" means.

Are the Sith the same as Dark Jedi?

A Sith is a member of the Sith Order.

This bears repeating. It makes no sense for Jedi to dress like Tatooinians and those robes are ugly.

Meaning things that the prequels did that can be avoided.

You guys are impossible to please. If I post in an existing thread, I get trolled for going off-topic; if I create a new thread, I get trolled for creating a redundant thread.

Don't listen to Bingo, this thread is cool in my book.

I don't want the original cast to have stupid deaths just so the next gen can step into the spotlight. If/when they die I want their deaths to have more meaning than that.

I am what all Jedi fear to become, and what all Sith wish to be. A GOD!

Thank you! This is why I defend Luke so much.
