So millionaire Navy Vet Jesse Ventura won his libel case against millionaire Navy Vet Chris Kyle. Kyle wrote in his book that he beat up 60 year old Ventura for being unAmerican. Ventura claims it was a lie.
The narrative formed by the media is really interesting. Both men are Navy Vets, but Kyle is an American hero (apparently because he killed more people than Ventura), he's also a "fallen warrior" although he didn't die in combat. Ventura, a former mayor and governor is scum, apparently because he didn't kill enough people, or they didn't like "Predator."
Ventura sued Kyle when Kyle was alive, then Kyle became not alive and his literary estate, managed by his millionaire wife (the book made over $6 million and the movie is coming out soon) was still being sued.
Ventura basically was vindicated by the court and recovered his legal fees, but somehow he's a bad guy? The wife is still a millionaire with more coming.
Is it an American thing that we worship soldiers so much, when two are in conflict we need to make up elaborate moral judgements so one is still a superhuman? I don't know.
Wow those guys get some pay!! and all for looking after Navy animals
I always wanted to be a vet you know
