THANK YOU so much for doing this!! I had never seen this movie in its entirety until now because when I was younger I thought it looked rather boring, and cheesy. Now it's pretty much my favorite John Carpenter (and possibly Kurt Russell) movie. I've already watched it 4 times.
It's amazing how spectacular blu-ray can look when it isn't pummeled to death with different color timing, DNR, incorrect aspect ratios, et al.
Oh, and the reason this isn't my favorite is cuz watching this got me hyped enough to check out another Carpenter/Russell classic I'd only seen bits and pieces of...BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA. I was HOWLING for the entire run-time. Definitely the most fun Carpenter film for me.
And like Rambo, Tyler Durden, Travis Bickle, and a few others, Snake Plissken is now one of my favorite fictional characters (What can I say? I've always identified with the loners).
