The Crying Game (1992)
As I am and pretty much always have been a fan of Jaye Davidson's performance as Ra in Stargate, I figured it was about time I watched this movie to see his one and only other performance as an actor in a feature length film.
Suffice it to say, I already knew the story's plot twist, so I wasn't surprised in the least when it reared its head. What did surprise me, however, was to see goddamn Ralph Brown himself make an appearance in this film.
As if that wasn't a bewildering surprise in-and-of itself, in one part of the movie he takes Davidson's character up to "her" apartment and it's strongly implied that they then had sex.
That's right -- Ric Olié fucked the sun god.
So to sum things up, I went in and got a surprise, just not the surprise that was intended by the filmmakers. To that I say: God bless you, you magnificent bastards.
