ROSARIO DAWSON JOINS MARVEL'S DAREDEVIL FOR NETFLIX
Marvel and Netflix are proud to announce that acclaimed actress Rosario Dawson has joined "Marvel’s Daredevil," an all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015.
Known for her powerful work in “Cesar Chavez,” “Kids” and the upcoming “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For,” Rosario Dawson will play a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.
Dawson joins Charlie Cox (previously announced as Matt Murdock) and Vincent D’Onofrio (previously announced as Wilson Fisk) in the critically-lauded cast of "Marvel’s Daredevil."
“Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for 'Marvel’s Daredevil,'” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”
"Marvel’s Daredevil" follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.
Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus”, “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”) and Drew Goddard ("Cabin in the Woods," "Lost," "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", in addition to writing the first two episodes of "Marvel's Daredevil"), along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”).
"Marvel’s Daredevil" is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
Ive never read the comic (or even heard of it until a couple months ago) but I am super psyched for Guardians of the Galaxy. Looks like LOADS of fun.

Peter Shinkoda has been tapped for a major recurring role in Netflix’s Marvel drama series Daredevil set to premiere in 2015. The series was written by executive producer Drew Goddard, with Steven S. DeKnight as executive producer/showrunner. Daredevil is the first of four 13-episode superhero series set in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Shinkoda, repped by D2 Management and Characters Talent Agency, will play Hachiro.
I will not click on the plot spoilers but that is a pretty cool image and it's good that Cap seems to be getting equal billing with Iron Man.
At a recent screening for Guardians of the Galaxy, Kevin Feige had this to say about Ant-Man:
“We sat round a table and we realized it was not working. A part of me wishes we could have figured that out in the eight years we were working on it. But better for us and for Edgar that we figure it out then, and not move it through production.
“We said let’s do this together and put out a statement. What do we say? ‘Creative differences’. I said: ‘That’s what they always say and no-one ever believes it.’ Edgar said: ‘But in this case it’s true … ‘”
“The biggest disappointment for me is just the relationship, because I like Edgar very, very much and we were very close for many many years.”
Well I still think this is the first real sign of trouble. Wright may be the best person to make this type of movie and if the studio has become so unflexable that he needed to leave there could be trouble coming. I hope this isn't a sign of Marvel picking a formula for these movies and getting rid of anyone who wants to try something new.
I was looking forward to Antman but with Wright gone now I have no interest in it.

“The notion that Marvel was scared, the vision was too good, too far out for Marvel is not true. And I don’t want to talk too much about that because I think our movies speak to that. Go look at Iron Man 3; go look at The Winter Soldier; go see Guardians of the Galaxy later this month. It would have to be really out there to be too out there for us… The perception that the big evil studio was too scared at the outside-the-box creative vision is just not the case.”
Iron man 3 was one of the most by the numbers superhero movies I have ever seen so I don't think that stands up. Also if they kicked him out for thinking outside the box then they are afraid of thinking outside the box. Now he may have been too far outside the box but that still means they were afraid of it,so there is some outside the box thinking that scares them.
As I said my only interest in Antman came from Wright being involved and so I will not be seeing it now and I am far less likely to see any Marvel movie now that they have fired the best director of action comedies who is around today. Sorry that is just the way I see it. With Wright I was excited because he has talent now he is being replaced by a director who will just be following a studio template I am losing interest in the MCU.
For me to get excited about Marvel again they would have to tell us what this idea that was so far out there was so i could see why they felt their only choice was to fire Wright. So far Marvel hasn't done that which tells me the idea couldn't have been that bad and this was more a case of him not following a template laid out by executives who know nothing about film making. This is a sad state of affairs if you ask me.
Iron Man 3 certainly had some conventional elements (the main villain and his plot) but I thought the humor and, most of course the twist, certainly kept it from being "one of the most by the numbers superhero movies." Also Tony Stark's usage of his Iron Man suit(s) in the climax was not typical for a superhero film.
It was just throwing a lot of suits on screen in the last five minutes(and it didn't even make sense,i mean it didn't cross his mind to use one or two of those suits when his house was under attack and Pepper was in danger) and it went so by the numbers it even had him giving up on being a hero to be with his girlfriend even when there was no build up just because that is what Spiderman 2,Batman Forever,and The Dark Knight did it. I saw every single thing coming from the opening scene,that is why I was shocked that it all played out the way i thought it would because I didn't think anyone would ever go that by the numbers.
I know that most people think that Iron man 3 was one of the best films ever made but I am sorry that I am not one of them and that saying it was anything other then perfect will put me on par with Hitler in most people's eyes but I can only be honest and say I found the humor lacking in energy,the drama comedic and badly written,and the plot to be boring. I'm sorry but I nearly fell asleep in the theater and I was looking forward to this movie. I really wanted to like it but it lacked the energy of the last two films,I saw the twists coming,and I am still not sure why he had to stop being Iron Man when the mess he was in started long before he became Iron Man and Pepper didn't fall in love with him until he started being Iron Man so it can't be for that reason and he has seen that bad things happen without Iron Man. The whole thing was a mess and it felt completely rushed. I'm sorry I am a writer so i guess I see movies in a different light then 99.9% of the population,the script is the most important part to me and I found this script to be very very weak. I'm sorry but i felt like I was watching someone's first draft of a fanfiction story and not a script someone was paid money to write. Sorry but that is just what i took away,I didn't enjoy it and it felt like it had been rushed out the door by the executives. i feel like maybe it could have worked if they had been given another year to work on the script and really flesh out the ideas and just pick one or two to really focus on but as it stands it's a mess. It has a ton of ideas but none of them are explored in enough depth or detail to really make an impact or even make a whole lot of sense. If I had to guess at what went wrong I would say the movie was rushed and either a first or second draft was used or they had a bunch of different Iron Man 3 scripts that were all unfinished so they just used bits and pieces of the different scripts to create one whole script. Either way what we got was so much less then what it could have and should have been.
Here is a perfect example. Our hero calls out a villain on TV and then take no steps whatsoever to protect himself or his girlfriend and they nearly die because of it. Now if the character doesn't care if he or his girlfriend lives then why should I? Then if i don't care then where does my investment in the action scene come from? Since I am not invested in it then it just becomes a lot of pointless noise. If this script had gone through a normal number of drafts someone would have picked up on this and fixed it by either changing the setting or having something happen that would keep Tony from being able to turn on any of his suits or defenses ahead of time,the setting would have been changed to some place where he couldn't get a hold of them. it wasn't,that is just one example of how this film feels rushed off the top of my head and I have not seen it since opening weekend.

I don't know where you get this idea that some people think it was one of the best films ever made. If there are people out there like that, they're stupid. But I still thought the film was enjoyable, and on the better end of the Marvel films. My opinion of course.

^^ You really should use shorter paragraphs if you want to hold the reader's attention. The web is different from printed media and needs to be broken up more often. Try to limit your paragraphs to five or six lines or split them up once they go over this length. Not picking on you, just offering a possible explanation for Dominic's reaction. Most people won't have a problem reading longer posts if they are structured with a little more 'breathing room'.

It wasn't a rant as i wasn't mad. I was just explaining in depth why I didn't like the movie and what I think went wrong behind the scenes. I have read alot of behind the scenes stories about the production of movies and Tv shows and this one just felt like it had all the classic earmarks of a movie where the suits stepped in and messed with things on a rushed production.
As for the use of the suits well maybe it was good but stepping out of the film since going in I knew it was the last in the series I was expecting all the suits to be used at once in the climax so it didn't feel surprising to me. In fact it felt a little too much like all they did was take the climax of Iron Man 2 and reverse it by giving Tony control of the suits this time. Maybe that is just me but that is what it felt like watching it for the first time in theaters.

Marvel just announced they're saving the date for five more films through 2017-2018. This is how Phase 3 is currently shaping up:

Where did you get the 2019 date for Avengers 3? I thought that was going to come out in 2018.
The list was compiled by Screen Rant. The consensus seems to be that both previous Avengers premiered in May and so it would follow that the third would as well.
It's also been established that each Phase ends with an Avengers title, so if May 2019 is the end of Phase 3 that would be Avengers 3.
A standalone Hulk film maybe?

Well after the last movie I can't say I am surprised. You know you want to do something surprising that people will have to pay attention to and will give you a completely fresh take and will not be telling the same stories over and over again. Do Spider-Girl the movie with adult Peter and Mary Jane as her parents. This may sound strange since most people in the general public don't know who she is but think about it I think most people would turn up on opening weekend just to see what this whole thing was all about since it would be a completely fresh take on the universe and the characters that they had never seen before. Also there are no female lead Superhero franchises right now so they would get a lot of positive press for doing this and I think a lot of people who are board with seeing Spiderman as a highschool and college student would turn up just to see what this new version was all about. i think it could work,anyone else agree?

Good for them,I think the BatmanvSuperman movie is shaping up to be a disaster and you are talking to someone who loved Man of Steel but there are just too many characters in it and we all know what happens when you try to cram in and set up too many characters in a single Superhero movie. You get film like Batman Forever,Xmen 3,and Spiderman 3,movies that could have been good if they had not crammed so much into one film. If forced to choose I will see CA3 over BVS.
