Hi. Anyone made a cover for the 3 bonus discs? I found several good looking covers, but they're either too small or I only found their presentation.

Thanks in advance.

"Let's face it, the Ewoks sucked, dude" -Hurley, Lost 5x13-Some like it Hoth.

Please bear with me if I tend to get too excited about anything or say too much, I have issues.

A late thanks to you, Harmy. Great covers.

A double play package was obligatory, although I'm not sure if I'll make a ReEd box for itself.

Available on request.

Slick cover! Although I don't own or plan to own 2 disc cases, let alone watching the SEs anytime soon. Just the sight of Han shooting second makes me sick, but I think we MUST preserve this version along with the OOT.

So feel free to send it to me. Thanks in advance. Any chance you made a cover for the 3 bonus discs or are making one?

Thanks FrankT, I won't burn the ReEd but I used your DeEd covers and it looks great !

Do you plan to make disc label for the french edition (http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Preserving-French-Original-Trilogy-ANH-V10-released-ESB-in-progress/topic/14168/page/1/) ? Because I'd like to use a double play package (one disc for Harmy's DeEd and one disc for the french version) ?

Thanks again !

I should be able to fit it into my schedule.

Hey guys, I'm new to this sort of thing, and I was wondering what you use to apply the labels to your DVD+R DL disks?  These are the techniques I'm aware of:

  • There are those adhesive stickers, but I've heard terrible things about them.
  • There's lightscribe, but I don't think these disks support it.
  • And then there's printing directly onto the disk.

I would really like to have some professional looking disks to go along with the great cover art, but I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

Some printers have a special deck for printing directly onto discs, which is definitely the best option (I was specifically looking for this function when selecting my printer, so I can tell you, that not all printers have it and you can definitely forget about it in the low-end category) and another thing to look out for is that you need printable discs. Light-scribe is ok but it's only black and white and the support for it was discontinued some time ago, so you could find it hard to find the right discs. And yes, I would definitely not recommend sticker-labels, because you can never get them to be perfectly centered and then they slowly destroy your reading device's rotation mechanism, because of the imbalance.

Thanks for the quick response, Harmy, and great job with the work you've done so far on your, well, what I would call the definitive Star Wars.

Now, off to get a printer...

Thanks Harmy, but in your file there are the covers but no sign of disc labels.

I made this one a few years ago. It's a little sparse, but if you want it just PM me.

Here's another set of custom Star Wars Blu-ray covers I can share. Please specify "the white set" in your PM, so I know which ones you mean.

To those of you who PM me for copies of the Star Wars covers. I've done several sets, so unless you start specifying which set you want, I won't answer. Just saving myself the continual back and forth.

... and no, "all of them" is not specific.

VC, I'd love to get this set if you still have it around.

The next DeEd/ReEd double play is done! Although I'm not sure yet if it's going to be of any use.

You've done a terrific job of adapting the Arrow format here - it's an unusual choice, but a very successful one.

One thought, and I know others might differ on this view, but as I see it 'Despecialized Edition' (and indeed 'Respecialized Edition') is the name of the reconstruction project; what's on the disc, on the other hand, is simply The Empire Strikes Back.

I prefer to suspend my disbelief where packaging is concerned, and forget for a moment that this is a fan project; particularly apt where a commercial outfit's house style is being used. What if ESB was a little less mainstream and it fell to a more niche label such as Arrow to release it? How would it be sold in that instance?

Not to dismiss or ignore the work put in by Harmy and others by any means, but perhaps the details of the restoration could be saved for the small print in this instance.
