That article is just going off of what they read on the Atlanta Plaza's website, but the theater still doesn't even know exactly what they are showing. They first said it was the "original 1977 version". Then they clarified on their facebook page that it was "Star Wars IV ( 1977 special edition ) released in 1997".

They later posted an update on their website: "Disney officials confirmed that the digital print being provided the Plaza will be based on the Special Edition version which got a wide release in 1997."

Any mention of it being specifically the 97 version has only been used loosely to mean it is the special edition as opposed to the theatrical version.

Will be interesting to find out exactly what it is.
