Eh, the DVD-9s are still too unpredictable as far as compatibility goes...plus, as has been pointed out repeatedly, there's only so much that can be done to the LD source. I believe someone here actually tried the DVD-9s for an LD rip a few weeks or months ago, and found very little difference in the video.

The set is good though, better than than the last existing original VHS box set, but obviously not quite up to the '04 restoration quality. The audio is still top rate, and easily the best feature of the set. The best solution I still think is going to be one or many of the in-progress DE-SE versions being worked on now.
