Could negative -1 provide a scan of the missing frames ? That way you could re-insert the frames and keep the accuracy. Just a thought.

I think you're misunderstanding: Harmy's video has 2 frames TOO MUCH... the AUDIO is 2 frames short.
Then why not take the audio and duplicate the frame before each missing frame of audio to fill in the gaps if you know exactly which frames are missing? If you aren't sure exactly which ones just duplicate a random frame where no major sounds are and see if that works. I doubt you'd be able to hear a noticeable difference. except that it would all be aligned.
I think the issue is less the difficulty of doing an individual patch job, and more the logistics of doing so to every GOUT-synced soundtrack that folks might want to use.
It's already been discussed, just read the last posts.
Here are the v2.1 credits as they are right now:
If you contributed to this project in any way and you're not in the credits, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CONTACT ME and I will add you!
Woo-hoo, I'm someone at originaltrilogy.com. Suck it, lurkers!
;-)
Pretty cool!
But I'm going to unofficially add my name to the Honorable Mention list when I send this out in the next Harmy Newsletter since next month will be the one year anniversary for it. :P LoL
920 subscribers and growing!! Woo Hoo!
“Evacuate ...in our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.”
Well, the honorable mention section is mostly the names of those who donated towards the new computer.
I kept a list and simply copied it to the credits, which is why some names are there as well as in the main credits (do you think I should keep it that way?)
Also, if you want your name put in differently, I'd be happy to do that as well :-)
Zer0Squared, you're getting a mention in the main credits :-)
@ Harmy
Thanks! Did you notice the "Respecialized" at the bottom?
Oh, crap, I didn't! Thanks!

Whaaaaat?? Wow, I'm honored, sir.
All I can say is, I'll keep doing what I'm doing as long as you keep doing what you're doing. :)

Thank you Harmy! Was glad to be able to contribute. Sent you a PM.
Here are the credits as transcribed and by SirJonah, prepered by Laserchwert and heavily modified by me (I'm saying this not as much to take credit, as to take the possible blame - the credits look very different than in the project files Laserschwert sent me, so if there's something wrong with them, it's probably my fault :-D )
I would prefer the honorable mentions section to be alphabetized, its kind of random looking now. If you put your list into a spreadsheet program then A-Z it, should clean it up a bit. I was going back and forth on people being credited twice, but I think that if people donated money they should be credited twice! Good on them!Harmy said:

Should the character spacing be closed up slightly?
I don't see why.
@ Harmy, Laserschwert & SirJonah
Looks fantastic! I played it simultaneously with the original one and it feels absolutely right.
Three questions:
1. The starfield seems to be somewhat shaky. Is this an intended effect?
2. Would it be possible to make some of the smaller letters (APPROVED No. 26034 and smaller) slightly sharper as there isn't really an improvement in sharpness over the GOUT upscale? The GOUT upscale also seems to have sharper (R)s (the registered trademark symbol).
3. May I ask what's the difference between your and Laserschwert's approach?
Maybe I'm just imagining things, but looking at the for example the Kershner frame in comparison to the frame from the team -1 scan you posted here (http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Harmys-THE-EMPIRE-STRIKES-BACK-Despecialized-Edition-HD-DVD9-AVCHD-and-SD-NTSC-DVD5-AVAILABLE-NOW-Read-1st-post/post/713401/#TopicPost713401), it seemed to me like the characters are a bit farther apart. But I defer to your judgment.
Credits look great, Harmy. If I had to strain to criticize anything it would be maybe that there's just a bit too much glow and a little too much gate weave (did the Star Wars credits have that much?) -- but that's entirely a judgement call on your part, and whatever you decide to do is ultimately fine by me!

Don't listen to 005, he has four credits in my last edit. ;-)
Congats on all who made the list for assistance. Hat off to my friend DoomBot .... he's a great person to collaborate with.
Thrilled to be in the honorable mentions :) Knowing that I (in some very small way) helped, makes me very happy!
ps, I've been checking the Star Wars thread for ages waiting on an update and no one was posting, now I see we're on in here and TESB is in full swing!
I'm guessing we're still struggling with authoring that damn BD!
@bouvines: I'm sorry, I thought you meant in the Despecialized credits - you're right, the characters should be a bit fatter, which would also diminish the gaps between them.
And that is the main difference between Laserschwert's original files and my adjustments - Laserschwert's letters were very thin and sharp - much thinner and sharper than in that 35mm scan, so I used a matte choker effect to make them fatter and blurred them out a little bit - this is unfortunately what also caused the fuzziness in some of the logos but over-all, I think it brought the credits much closer to the way they look in the 35mm scan. The amount of the glow is also is also inspired by the 35mm.
I guess the gate-weave may be a bit too much, I'll have to look into that.
@michaeldc: I got a bit sidetracked with the BD release - I'm now thinking about waiting until all three v2.5s are done and then do the whole trilogy and make the intended bonus disc for the whole trilogy as well and release the whole thing as one awesome trilogy package.
