Respectfully, this particular (sub) forum is about preservations (there is a different one for fan edits). And if I can speak for Jetrell Fo, he is looking for a different HD master then the BD, which would be for a preservation.

If I have learned one thing with my time on this forum, there can be many, many different HD masters of a movie. Some much better then the BDs. Some with the original colors that where altered on the BD. Some good examples would be Raiders of the Lost Ark, Thief, Night of the Living Dead (90s), the new BD of Scanners, etc. All of those are on Blu-ray.

Alien, Aliens and Alien 3 all have different (older) HD masters that date pre-BDs. Alien and Aliens do look different with color timing similar to the older DVDs. I don't know if Alien Resurrection has one and if it is different/better then the BD but I think that's what Jetrell Fo is looking to find out.

(It also fair to point out that A:R had a few different looks to it in the theaters depending on whether you got a silver print or not...)
