So i dunno, it might be possible to survive falling into that with only a couple first degree burns

Also Jimbo if Lucas decides to bring Maul back you dont think he wont be able to come up with some totally bogus..err, i mean logical reason on how he survived? I'm thinking something along these lines:

"After Darth Maul was cut in half the wounds were instantly cortorized thus elimintating the possiblity of bleeding to death. Seeing as his injury was only a small cut, Darth Maul was still in a perfect state of mind and able to cushin his landing with the force."
