Then Laserschwert is the only one that already has the groundwork (as well as the correct settings) for creating the credits manually.
Colours are pretty fucked up at 167212.
The Star Wars credits were actually restored from film scans.

I'm still looking for someone to recreate the credits for me - in the WP I just used the v1.0 credits. Anyone?
I may be able to do that for you Harmy. I've stitched together the end credit frames in Photoshop and I'm OCRing the text now in Google Drive.
If successful, I would do the final credits in After Effects.
SirJonah: Cool, thanks, can't wait to see what you come up with :-)
n00b: Yeah, I already noticed and fixed that :-)

Would you be so kind as to tell me what the exact font is to use. I probably already have it, but I want to make sure I use the right one! Thanks!
I'll post the first card, "Directed by Irvin Kershner" and you can provide feedback.
If I knew that, I wouldn't need the help ;-)
Is it not ITC Franklin Gothic? I was just making sure in case anyone knew the exact font.
I honestly have no idea.
Actually, I think it may be News Gothic, like the "A long Time ago..." opening. Give me a few minutes and I'll do that first card.

It won't be that easy, even if you know the exact font. As you may have noticed, the letters are glowing and therefore, it's extremely difficult to determine their exact colour (not to mention the recreation of the glow itself). Furthermore, there are some logos at the end of the credits of which you need versions of better quality.
The logos could probably be taken from the SE credits or the SW v2.5 credits, and the color should probably be determined using the SW v2.5 credits, rather than the GOUT.

Yes, I'm matching the color and glow and grain to the SW v2.5 credits. Do you have the ESB end credit starfield handy, by any chance? Or do you not care about that at this point (for my example)?
It doesn't matter for the example but as far as I know, the starfield is the same in the SE.
Ok
Sorry, I don't see the picture.
EDIT: I did see it, when I right-clicked it and clicked on view image. I don't know - it's pretty good but the font seems a bit off to me.

It is, of course. But I'm happy to change out with a better font if you or anyone else knows of one. In the meantime, I have to fix a ton of OCR errors. If you'd like me to stop at this point let me know. Perhaps you can get actual film captures like with SW v2.5.
In the meantime, here's a screenshot comparison:
Actually, even if you didn't end up doing the actual credits, the checked OCRed transcript would still be very very useful.
Ok, I'll continue working on it later tonight my time (PDT). Then I'll post it and others can check if I missed a typo.
Also, I just realized that with IRVIN KERSHNER's name, I used Franklin Gothic Medium and that News Gothic MT works better for the "R" and the "K", however the "S" looks closer in Franklin Gothic Medium.
I can post another comparison, if you'd like.
Cool :-) Thank you for helping!
Funny how my forum nick became a topic :-D But yeah, Harmy pronounced it pretty much correctly. Anyway, I know I offered doing the ESB credits, though I'm not sure I'll be able to finish them in time. BTW, only SW got German credits, so the German version of Empire uses the English credits as well.
But I don't think I can salvage my German credits to SW for TESB, since they look completely different from each other.
Hello Harmy and Everyone. First off, a big thank you to Harmy for all his work on Star Wars It has been a few years since I was here on site. In 2011 I downloaded Harmy's great work from MYSPLEEN. I'm trying now to get his updates from tehparadox and am having a bitch of a time working the uloz site where they are stored. Is there a tutoiral to work this site, or can someone either PM me or help? Thanks. I really want to see his upates.
@Laserschwert: Well, there's a workprint out right now, which will need to be checked (I'd like to allow at least a week, maybe two for this) and any problems fixed and then I also don't have the latest audio tracks and what not, so there should still be plenty of time :-)
@rgstammer: Download a program called JDownloader and just highlight and copy all the links from the forum - JD will load them automatically and then you can start the download and highlight all the links there and rightclick - force download and you should be able to download a lot of links at the same time, each at the max free speed.
Thanks Harmy! Appreciate it. I'll be back in touch as I want to contribute bucks to your efforts.
Hi, Harmy.
OK, I just watched the whole thing and here's my feelings about it. I'm no expert, but hey, what the hell... To thank you for your hard work, the least I can do is to convey you my impressions.
Isn't this shot too bright, like the Obi-Wan encounter desert scene in SW v2.0 was?
Isn't this all scene too dark?
I really enjoy the color timing you made, but isn't Yoda way greener in this scene than in the rest of the movie?
Actually, there are some scenes that tends to have more saturated colors than the rest of the film which has more neutral colors that I really like. In fact, I noticed some mismatches inside the Falcon cockpit:
I really like what you made of this:
I suppose this is the best source you could get for this shot?
Aren't we supposed to barely see the edge of the window on top?
The last shot feels a little off to me. Isn't there a better looking one? Is it because of the transition to the ending credits that you don't have in a good shape yet?
Thanks again, Harmy. This is the best looking Empire Strikes Back I've seen so far. And I'm really glad you got rid of that annoying glowing bubble around the lightsabres in the duel scene.
