There's obviously a few... Next/first one is the zoom in on BC's face approx 2 1/2 mins into the film.

That's the IMAX prologue, they changed the order of the scenes in the final film.
Also in case anyone is interested, threw an IMAX footage-based trailer together - http://youtube.com/watch?v=wDqm2-sysC8
BUMP (sorry could edit but this is kinda important)

Star Trek Into Darkness is coming to Netflix US this month, it may already be out in some territories such as Canada...
Apparently the US Netflix version of Mission Impossible GP was in constant 16:9 with expanded IMAX scenes:

Possibility of Into Darkness getting the same treatment? Someone could capture this the same way people did House of Cards - get it up on your Smart TV and go from there...
Do we know that the Ghost Protocol IMAX was full frame and not just a crop of the crop?

I'm sure there was a pic somewhere, I'll double check.
Well if we are talking about IMAX versions. Cinemax is now running Oblivion in its IMAX form. With the flashbacks in 2.35/2.39 and the rest in 16:9.

Doesn't look like it - more like crop of a crop. Unless I'm missing something that grab on the what Netflix does tumblr shows a zoomed in 2.35:1 to fill a 16:9 frame. It's not opened up.

Yeah as that's a grab of a non-IMAX scene. I remember somewhere there was a series of screengrabs of the Netflix version with IMAX scenes opened up...having trouble finding it now

(may find more)
This is an IMAX scene screenshot, someone superimpose Blu-ray screenshot to verify:

Of MI:GP? I think they did change from the broadcast master to the 2.35 version after a while...
Anyway if the US Netflix release of STID is the broadcast master then we need to grab it quick...can someone check in other territories (like Canada) which version it is?
Nice!

Shame. Though replicating the Burj transition would be a bit tricky.

Interesting comment about the SD vs HD version. I'm assuming the author is referring to 4:3, as SD in the US tends to be synonymous with that aspect ratio. Yet there is no 4:3 dvd...

Yeah, I think he may be referring to the broadcast master which is done in 16:9. Technically there was no HD release of the IMAX scenes (okay apart from any HD broadcasts and Netflix)
Confirmed this morning, Into Darkness on both Netflix & Amazon Prime is in static 2.35:1, same as everything else.
