Although it is a commendable and rewarding project to do the laserdisk captures yourself, you'd probably have a better quality viewing experience by getting the DarkJedi capture, or the Harmy despecialized blu ray. Those and many other restorations on this forum are quite sophisticated and involved years of work by multiple people.

Of course, if you'd like to contribute to some of the ongoing efforts as well, or have some new idea to offer in that regard, that would be great too! Just suggesting that if you're chasing down laserdisks, laserdisk players, etc., just to experience the original unaltered trilogy, there are easier avenues with less work, less cost, and likely much better end quality.
