I would love to change my name and get rid of that dreaded space.

I, too, would like to change my name (I desperately want to ditch that "cellEner" part).

Here is a incomprehensive list of movies I will utterly refuse to watch unless someone is literally willing to pay me big honkin' bucks to see them:

You certainly won't be missing much. Except for X-Men: First Class, which is pretty awesome.

Good list.  I enjoyed the 2009 Star Trek movie for what it was but there is no force on heaven or earth that could compel me to watch Into Darkness again.  Also first class was pretty good it's just the last act felt rushed and like it had a little too much going on and the inclusion of the Cuban Missile crisis felt forced. I also felt that Professor X being be crippled and coming to terms with that should have been his character arc for a sequel and not shoved into the last five minutes of the movie.  Other then that it was okay.

I just watched Jumper this weekend, but in my defense it was homework for my edit.

I'm still left with so many unanswered questions from that. Presuming Hayden's character payed taxes like ordinary people, he must have had some sort of a job as a cover for his wealth?

There must be an easier way for the bad guys to kill a Jumper.

And even a evil ancient secret organization can only do so much loud noisy stuff in someone's apartment house before someone calls the cops. ;)

However, I did learn never to sneak into the coliseum in Rome, which apparently has really short tourist hours, and no security cameras, nor multi-lingual guards, and get into a fight with an evil secret organization. The cops will arrest you on the word of one hysterical eyewitness, never mind the lack of any bodies, and take your passport, which as a jumper, you probably don't have the proper visas stamped on it anyway. ;)

Where were you in '77?

JFTR, the reason I'll never watch Jumper isn't because Hayden's in it, but because I loved the novel far too much to subject myself to a piece-of-shit adaptation that sounds like it has more in common with the stupid Da Vinci Code than the actual book it's supposed to be an adaptation of.

I feel the same way about I Robot and the RDjr Sherlock Holmes movies(I did end up seeing most of the first one and it made me feel ill)I think you have made the right call.

Apparently, the universe has a colour, and that colour is "cosmic latte".

If I weren't already agnostic, this would seriously make me doubt the existence of God. ;-)

Have you something against universes of colour DE? :-D

I couldn't care less since the comics don't always get the spelling right.

On a similar yet also random point... there is a joke in 'Blackadder's Christmas Carol' in which Blackadder points out that Baldrick has amazingly managed to spell "Christmas" without any of it's constituent letters. I always wondered how? Perhaps like this...

"Kwyzdnuz"

I had no idea it was Spider-Man and not Spiderman. Well, I guess I know better now. I promise not to utilize the incorrect form of the name in the future.

I feel so sick.  I wish there was some way to make George Bush pay for all the civilians who are about to die in Iraq because he wanted to feel like a big man.  he started a war that he knew could not be won and now all the people who went along with the new government he forced on them are about to be murdered in the streets and he gets away scott free.

Every time we go in and force our form of government on other people against their will thousands die and we just sit back and watch it on our Tvs.  I am ashamed to be an American because we keep doing this over and over and civilians pay the price.

I think I am going to throw up.

     Probably the wrong thread, but....

I have insisted on believing the Iraq war must have happened because it is the only practical way into Iran. Iran will never voluntarily give up their nuke program and it will be for too easy for them to plant phoney  stories about loose nukes from the old Soviet Union, Pakistan, or North Korea and then give the devices to terrorists.

This seemed to be the broad consensus among conservatives who payed attention to foreign affairs.

The idea that Bush and Cheney would plunge us into that for any other primary reason seemed FAR too insane and evil to accept.

After seeing what the bushies are willing to do to give Jebby a slight chance of taking a joy-ride in AF1, I'm becoming ready to believe about anything concerning those jackals.
