Wow, four whole sounds for that giant thing. One sec, just playing a million songs from a handheld device.

Did anybody have this in their yard back in the day? I recall Toys R Us selling these, but it looks like an accident waiting to happen now.

I, personally, have no idea where I was in '83. Perhaps my initial component molecules were still resident in an undigested bit of beef or a blot of mustard.

One of the bravest things about ESB was splitting up the popular double act of R2 and C3PO for most of the film and having Mark act with essentially a puppet and a prop.

The end of the film showed the potential of splitting another popular double act Chewie and Han.

Part of me wishes Chewie stayed on the Falcon with Lando for the big battle in ROTJ as he hardly has anything to do on Endor (other than the Tarzan gag).

He did turn the tide of battle, and Ewoks can't drive a stick shift. ;)

Han could have rode the AT-ST and saved the injured Leia instead of just standing infront of the gate like that, he has to climb up there anyway to deliver his message to the bunker crew.

I wish that neat flashing effect that lightsabers made when coming into contact with one another in Star Wars had been retained in the sequels.

Wow great idea, I'd like to slip into an alternate dimension to see that one in action.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

I had that idea for a ROTJ rewrite once. It was going to be the moment that Han finally accepted Lando as a friend once more, and allowed him to take both the Falcon and Chewie for the air strike, on the condition that they return alive and in one piece.

This all taking place on Endor, of course.

I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.

A spoof the of the "real" Kubrick letter that a lot of people on social media fell for this past week.

Just spotted George's good ole gray head at Montreal's F1 GP race.

Ol' Beard McGillicuddy was on tv while I was entering the living room, just caught a brief glimpse of him. Looking fine and enjoying the race. :)

With George's life long love of fast cars, I'm surprised he's never made a pro racing film.

Well sometimes if you really love something you don't want to mix it with work and potentially "polluting" it.

It seems like with the new episodes approaching, the OT nostalgia is kicking in in the marketing department. Check out this trailer for the new Battlefront game - not a single prequel thing in it:

As that's needed now is a proper restoration and re-release of the OOT and then the true circle will be complete.

It's been like that for a while now. Tyrphanax and myself have been reveling in it.

My friend had never seen Star Wars. Being the good guy that I am, I popped in Harmy's 2.5, and we watched it.

I restrained myself from adding commentary about the changes made throughout the years, production facts only nerds know, and how the prequels contradict the films so much.

He enjoyed the film very much, and hopes to watch Empire in the near future. There is something he said to me that really made me think.

In the "better her than me" scene, when Luke tells Han "she's rich," my friend remarked "well, not anymore," because of her planet being destroyed. I got to thinking about it, and he seems to be pretty right. Where did that money come from, if Alderaan was demolished?

The S.A.U.L. 9000 Assurance Drone is here to service your needs:

How to make a Planetary Disaster Insurance Claim

  • Better call S.A.U.L., we'll register your claim details, and talk you through the next steps.
  • If you have been a victim of a raider attack, the test firing of a moon sized superweapon or lost items outside of your home such as droids or stolen plans, we will require a crime or loss reference number.
  • Please keep any damaged items for inspection a debris cloud inspection pod will examine the remains of your planet with sensitivity and will not steal from your dead. Evidence of ownership such as purchase receipts or a reliable proof of royal assent will also help us to deal with the claim.
  • For small claims, it’s sometimes possible to deal with them via a hololink through our approved suppliers. If we are unable to do this, we may ask for estimates or quotations from you to support your claim.
  • For larger claims, it’s likely we'll arrange for a claims adviser to come out and visit you as soon as possible. In the event that your home system is so badly damaged that you need another place to stay, alternative accommodation costs can be covered under the buildings and contents section of your policy (limits apply, don't expect us to give you a whole planet to yourself...that's just greedy).
  • If you have been sold into slavery Galaxy Insurance will pay the total of your claim to your new owner.

I think in the radio drama, Han manages to connive the Rebels into paying him in gold they had kept in storage for use in mechanical parts.
