Very impressive!

I love this so much!  It makes me feel like a kid again when I was shown the OUT in 35mm format in the late 90's!

Those last clips looked great! I would so love to watch the whole thing in that quality. The last few ESB clips looked pretty nice too.

Here's the first part where Luke and Han discuss his leaving:

Glad people are enjoying the clips , more comments, and requests for clips within reason will be considered. If I have them, I will post what I can.

The flicker will be reduced in the final version,

and the shots will be stabilized and cropped also.

Here are some preview shots from the previous clip:

If possible, please try to upload in PNG format as there are a lot of JPEG artifacts in the images you're posting.

I don't know if that will help, but anyways they are just previews from the video. They still get recompressed by imgur.

They are only to show what the scene in the clip. Check out the video clip to see what it will look like.

If you want samples of uncompressed TIF, check here:

I love the cigarette burns, the feel of the real movie.
The colors are very good, the orange suite is perfect for me.
The look and feel of the movie with argentic grain and not the digital look of the blu-rays released 3 years ago.
I'm very pleased to see the real aspect of the movie, like in my childhood.

Just for public notice. Not that we are completely ready, but at some point this issue needs to be addressed. As you can see we have made some substantial progress.

Once we are done with the first version that is viewable by our standards, we would like some feedback before the final release.

A lot of our support, through comments, material, and money has come through our blogs. (Both of them). We would like to thank our early supporters.

We have all the contact information, so when the time is right, we will send you emails about getting a bluray or DVD version of it. No expense on your part. All you will need to do is confirm your address, and be confidential about it and not share it, until it is ready. If you agree not to share, but still do so, you will barred from getting Empire, and Jedi and other future releases we have planned. We will also take preventative measures.

We would like some feedback on this procedure, and general thoughts to take into account.

Thanks

Why not digitally? Why insist on physical media w/ shipping?

If you agree not to share, but still do so, you will barred from getting Empire, and Jedi and other future releases we have planned.

I assume barred from getting pre-release, not final product. Seems fair, although certainly hard to enforce.

We will also take preventative measures.

 What does this mean?

Nice work guys. Would the candidates all be blog followers or is it at a more personal discretion?

Excited to see how much progress you guys have made. The TIF screenshots of jedi look amazing.

Probably watermarks or similar. Very minor changes in different discs, etc.

I didn't know you guys had two blogs. But I haven't been around here long. Glad that things are reaching an advanced stage like this.

Great to hear this project is moving along! Can't wait to someday see the fruit of your labor.

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Music to my ears - been following these projects from day 1 here, and over at your original blog(s) (much missed by the way!). Sounds like a great idea for distribution - not to mention very generous too, to say the very least! 'Thank you' seems way too inadequate a thing to say! The excitement levels are mounting after all these years of mouth watering project updates, clips & pictures! This is the one I've been hoping for ;)

Exactly how I feel about these clips too - it feels organic again, like Star Wars should do instead of digitally airbrushed and sterile.

Love the colours and the natural looking film grain - this is how a '77 film, and Star Wars, should look!

You guys have worked hard for a long long time.  Congratulations on almost making it to the finish line!  :)

Also, will you ship the movies internationally or only in the US?

We will ship discs to wherever you are. And yes, there will be a tracking system in place on the discs for security.

We're not done yet, but we want to have things in place when we are.

Also, sorry to those new to this forum or board. But we don't have the time to accommodate new requests, as this has been an ongoing effort for the last several years. It wouldn't be fair to those that were with us during those times. Those that donated will also be getting them first.

We are doing this as a thank you, and digital distribution, while more efficient, is less personal.  Of course, when the final distribution comes out, it will be digital for the remaining people.

Those that offer detailed, and constructive feedback will also get a few more surprise perks that we haven't announced yet either.

It will be worth the wait.
