It takes a real ego to think that you have all the answers to the extent that you can be 100% sure of what is going to happen decades from now. It take an even bigger ego to think that you can bring about the end of the world or that if your words are not heeded it will be the end of the world. In my and my parent's life time alone there have been at least three end of the world scares and none of them came to pass.

Of course it take the biggest ego of all to call out other people for not doing enough while you refuse to do what little you can. I think you need to stop looking at the specks in other people's eyes and pay attention to the giant plank in your own.
