Cool, thanks!
I confess that SW 2.5 has spoiled me. I can't wait for a crisp ESB!

Are the 720p HDTV-DON releases better sources than the 1080p HDTV-hV ones? On top of being 1080p, they're the same as the 2004 Special Editions with supposedly less DNR than the Blu-rays.
Yes, the 720p DON releases are better, because they are far less compressed - the hV releases were compressed to hell and since I'm working at 720p anyway, the fact that they are 1080p makes no difference. And they are both the same as the 2004 SE but they don't have less DNR than the BD (at least the OT, it may be true for the prequels and especially episode I definitely has less DNR in the HDTV versions, as it comes from a completely different master).
There are HDTV broadcast sources, which are even better quality than the DON releases but I don't have those.
^ Let me know if you ever want certain scenes from the broadcasts. I'll trim them out for you.
Cool, I don't really need any for ESB but I will definitely need some for ROTJ.

Not really - I think it should be the easiest of the three, with a lot of despecialized shots useable from v1.0 but it will still take a while.

Can anybody re-up the chapter marks?
Wait, easiest of the three, that must mean now we're NOT recreating the Jabba musical number verbatim with hand puppets? Nobody tells me nothin... Well, of course, it'll be a cakewalk to complete now...

I think you've confused Ady & Harmy

They're actually the same person.

Not to mention that:

So, about that musical number...
So, my computer is back to not booting and beeping continuously - I already ordered a different mobo (ASUS Z87-K) and will try to return this one and hopefully get a full refund. They may only agree to exchange it but then I'd just try to sell it and in the unlikely case that I install the ASUS mobo and find the problem was not being caused by the mobo in the first place, I have two weeks to return it without giving reasons, according to Czech law.
This unfortunately means that my plans for working on Empire this whole weekend are f*cked.
Has it gotten back to this non-working state without any new modifications on your part? If so, then do you doubt the BIOS clearing and power discharging methods that got it running last time would even work this time; at least enough to salvage your weekend plans?
I guess what I mean is that I assume you'll still have this mobo in the system until you tear it down to put the new one in when it arrives, if it could be convinced to limp along, would you bother trusting any new work to it in the mean time?
Also, did it conk out while you were actively using it (that is to say hard crash and then not come back up), or did it start doing this when trying to boot normally?
Furthermore, with these unexpected hardware issues, are you putting more consideration into an investment in a boot drive? So as to better deal with unexpected needs to rebuild the OS and limit danger to your data? (Unless I somehow missed you getting something other than just those two RED drives.)
I turned it off normally and then it just wouldn't turn back on and I tried all the tricks in the book but it really seems to be totally dead now.
Also, I did get another 2GB RED drive for the system (256GB partition) and non-esential data storage (the rest of the HDD) ages ago.
I still don't trust partitions as much as dedicated drives (and SSD would be a boon to you), but if you're happy with it for now, I won't argue the point further.
And that sucks. Random crap-outs like that are just about the worst, you do nothing wrong and it still unexpectedly fails on you. I hope your replacement parts arrive soon and you can put this messy experience behind you quickly.
@ Harmy
Do you use OCR for the credits or is it all manually done?

Well that's sad :(
I think we all crave some shiny 2.0 goodness for the next 2..
"all the tricks in the book" ...including re-seating RAM? Sometimes RAM is flaky. Try removing one stick at a time? Just throwing stuff out there, hoping it isn't the board. Either way, it does suck!
Yes, including trying each of the four RAM sticks separately in all four slots, including trying to disconnect all HDDs one by one, including trying to reset CMOS in three different ways... seriously, short of banging it with a hammer, I tried everything.
I'm afraid to ask if the hammer is your...
...nah, I better not ask.
Yeah, that's what I call it... :-D
The Hammer is Stinky's penis.
Harmy's work popped up in this YouTube video.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
Cool :-)
