Help: looking for... the best Revenge of the Sith Edit as a companion to The Phantom Edit and Attack of the Phantom.

So, I’m a big fan of The Phantom Editor’s “Phantom Edit” and “Attack of the Phantom” and I’ve been looking for a good Revenge of the Sith edit to complete the trilogy. My main problem with most edits is that they tend to be more about cutting out things the editor personally doesn’t like rather than simply trying to tell the best, most economical version of the story Lucas set out to tell. They often feel like fan works rather than something that could have been in the theaters in 2005. I’m looking for an edit that is professional, high quality and respects the story Lucas was trying to tell while improving the pacing and clarity as well as removing elements that distract from or weaken the plot and characters. Anyone have any suggestions?

I suggest Dawn of the Empire from L8wrtr. He completely rearranges the order things happen in to tell a better story. And it works :)

Preferred Saga:
1/2: Hal9000
3: L8wrtr
4/5: Adywan
6-9: Hal9000

Firstly, I suggest not watching The Phantom Edit or Attack of the Phantom. They suck compared to others that have been made in the last few years. L8wrtr's prequels are my favorite, but I'm not a big SW addict like some.

If you're absolutely dead set on watching Phantom Edit 1 & 2, I suggest following it up with kerr's Episode III. Frink uploaded the DVD to Megashares and I believe it's still online and available at Info.

Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.

I've seen some other edits of Episode I and II and I haven't found ones that I enjoy. I'll look into L8wrtr's and Kerr's EpIII but are there any others you would recommend? My main issues are that a lot of editors are either too aggressive with their edits and the movies feel gutted and clearly chopped up (particularly with Jar Jar, having him never say anything at all feels weird) or they're not aggressive enough in places and try to salvage scenes that really aren't needed to tell the story (most of the Padme/Anakin love scenes in Ep II, several action scenes that don't really advance the plot).

I just checked and the links are indeed online.

So I watched Kerr's EPIII edit. Some things I really loved and other things I didn't. Personally, I would have left in most of the Yoda/Palpy duel and the lack of Padme naming the children makes this edit not work so well for the machete viewing order. That said, I loved his take on Anakin's turn and all of the cuts were very seamless. I don't know if I could call this my preferred version but there was a lot that was done right. Next I'm going to move to watching L8wrtr's trilogy. I may end up making my own Hybrid II/III edit designed specifically for machete order (i.e. to be watched after V but before VI) if those don't completely satisfy me.

I like Hal9000's edits and Magnoliafan's edits (though in that case, you run into the same 'no Episode III edit' problem). There are some others that I've watched that had some interesting editing choices, but they were just Episode I edits.

I recently made my own cut which eliminates every on-camera shot of General Grevious.  He is a McGuffin whose sole purpose is to isolate Skywalker to make him more vulnerable to Palpatine's manipulations.  He is now only referred to and never seen.

I used the ADM Extended Edition as my base as I wanted the inclusion of the birth of the rebellion scenes. I also cut the silly Matrix style part of the lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan.  I'll probably make more trims after I've watched it a few times, GG just had to go.....loathe him more than Jar Jar Binks.
