Idea: 'The Black Cauldron' - a special extended edition?

Would any of you be interested in Disney releasing a “special extended edition” of The Black Cauldron? I know it isn’t one of Disney’s best movies, but a lot of the problems had to do with the cuts that were made. Jeffrey Katzenberg cut 12 minutes from the movie himself. Wasn’t Disney’s original plan to make this a PG-13 movie?

Please call Disney at 847-723-4763 to make your requests.

Is anyone reading this? I wish I had a reply.

I'm a fan of the film. Disney doesn't seem to be in any hurry to release this on Blu Ray yet.

Then I guess it wouldn't hurt if you were to call Disney and make a request. The more people call, the more likely Disney will considered an Extended Cut.

I'm interested also.  Haven't seen it in ages though and this sounds cool to me!

They released a remastered DVD a few years back, (the first release wasn't anamorphic) which included an alternate workprint version of the fairy folk sequence, so it's a safe bet there's other footage in the vault.

I'm amazed a video workprint of the original cut has never surfaced.

I already sent a letter a week ago to Walt Disney Home Entertainment for a request to eventually have an extended cut on Blu-Ray. Is there more I can do to spread the word and have more supporters?

If you're on any sites devoted to DVD and Blu Rays in general, (or Disney specific sites) a thread to raise awareness might help?

Disney likes to do anniversaries, and TBC will turn 30 next year.

I tried to log in to the DVDizzy forums, but all I get is this message:

"The specified username is currently inactive. If you have problems activating your account, please contact a board administrator."

Where do I find a board administrator to contact?

I just called Disney and told them to make my cauldron blacker.  They hung up on me.

Is that true? I don't remember them ever being that rude whenever I called them.

Dude, I called this number because I wanted to convince Disney to make an EE. But I got the automated "Sorry, this call cannot be completed as dialed" message.

I thought you were Disney.  Just tell yourself to make it.

I see two eyes, a grump mouth, and...a weird chin?  Or maybe two eyes, a turned down nose, and a some-kind-of-mouth?  Or maybe that's a mustache between two eyes and a weird chin?

Someone call Disney and find out what that's supposed to mean.
