Yeah Anakin as portrayed by Hayden was horrible.
Imagine if Lucas hired a decent writer, director, and actor it might have been compelling. Instead Episodes II and III were a disgrace.
Lucas says they are supposed to be badly written directed and acted because he was doing a flash gordon serial.
