I hate the slow portentous monologues, I hate the clunky humour, I hate the way it drags on forever, I hate the fact it screws up one of the most poetic endings of any genre film (the storm coming in at the end of the first film is still Cameron's finest bit of work). Arnie was perfectly cast as the dead-pan soulless robot but as the Roger Mooreism spouting good guy he is an embarrassment.

What the hell is happening with the ending?

Either she creates a paradox or she returns to being boring nobody Sarah Connor without her ontological offspring.

That thumb going up is one the most groan worthy, mood shattering lumps of cheese in the history of cinema. It's as cheesy as a lump of cheese that fell into a bucket of cheese and got cheesed off because it got a cheese coating.

The third one is almost as cheesy ("talk to the hand", inflatable boobs etc) but at least restores the pessimism.

I re-watched the first two X-Men movies last night and boy the first one is awful.

The second one was good though.
