At this point I assume that the Rebels series is the same level of stupidity as PT. I would prefer they don't link it with OT/ST.

But the PT is already linked with the OT/ST. Along with Rebels before it even debuts.

Well of course PT has many references to OT. But from OT perspective, I can easily ignore PT and Rebels. However if standalone films will heavily link themselves to PT/Rebels then it is hard to ignore them without being forced to ignore the standalone films themselves.
