I've been a 24 fan for over 10 years now (I love saying things like that).

I feel like these first two episodes are living up to my expectations, which is "More 24". We've got Jack outsmarting people, no one listening to him, bad guy twist reveals, Jack killing the hell out of a bunch of people, Jack swearing, Jack grunting. The new cast is full of "that person from that thing", including "The Girl From Twister's Favorite Show", "The Mayor of Laketown", "Catlyn Stark", "The Guy From Ms Congeniality", and "The Guy From Alien Resurrection Who's Not Ron Perlman".

I can't wait for next week. I hope that only having 12 episodes kept the writers focused and we don't have any filler episodes.
