I guess it's something to discuss, but the fact is, this is the resolution Harmy has chosen for v2.x. He could spend his time redoing perfectly good work or he could forge ahead with ESB and RoTJ. Eventually, though, the DeEd will hit a point where Harmy just can't do more without better sources, so we can argue these points over and over or sit tight while -1, Poita, and others work on 35mm scans. At that point, hopefully both the GOUT and the Blu-Ray will be lesser sources and 1080p will make complete sense (and surely some of you will be clamoring for 4K).

Could someone who has some decent transfer of the JSC please extract the scene where the Falcon comes to cloud city (from the wipe from Luke up to the point when the land) and then the shot, where they added the window just before Lando opens the door and reveals Vader, and upload it for me somewhere Thanks!

Yes, but Harmy is currently working on 2.0, which be much better. He posted comparison shots recently.

Exciting! Even if it's not then, it's probably a not-too-distant horizon. And RoTJ 2.0 was being worked on simultaneously, from what I've read? Probably priority to ESB, in recent months, though.

Oh, yeah, I didn't end up doing that actually - I'm hoping however, that ROTJ v2.0 should be the easiest, as I should be able to use most of v1.0s shots.

Well, you know, Han never shoots first of course and you can't very well shoot a lightsaber :-)

BTW, did you notice the radar dish in the shot I was telling you about? I managed to fix it :-) The shot's still not perfect of course but it is now much less wonky :-)

This is looking great.

The 35mm restorations will be a different beast altogether, I think many will prefer the Despecialised Editions, and others will enjoy the 35s.

They will be two very different flavours, but both delicious :)

Now I feel like some Gelato.

The blaster bit at the end had me doing a double take. Hilarious!

The majority of the changes seem to be color related, and some of the 2.0 color changes contradict the GOUT. What's your source for these changes?
