48 Hour Star Wars Episode 4-6 Stream May 3rd & 4th

My gaming community is hosting a 48 hour Star Wars stream of the original cut of Episodes 4-6. In between each movie we will have a 5 minute break with classic Star Wars Commericals. The stream will start at 8 PM EST on Friday, May 2nd and run through midnight on Sunday, May 4th. We will also have a chat box available for everyone to discuss the show.

I would definitely be interested were it not for the fact that there is absolutely no way I would have time for it.

Star Wars -- 121 min

First commercial break -- 5 min

The Empire Strikes Back -- 124 minutes

Second commerical break -- 5 min

Return of the Jedi -- 134 minutes

121 + 5 + 124 + 5 + 134 = 389

389 min = 6.48333 hr

How exactly does this end up running for 48 hours, again?

Did he say they were only showing each film once?

I like this idea, especially the themed commercial breaks. If it's a success there's plenty more programming material to potentially include in future (and I'm not talking about eps I-III).

I should have clarified, I will be playing the entire trilogy 8 times over that weekend (Technically 52 hour stream). The versions I'm playing came from the 9/12/2006 original trilogy unaltered DVD release.

Blargh.  There are better options in the restoration/preservation section of the forum.

TV's Frink: What version do you suggest I play?

FrankT: If you live in the UK the 1st run will start around 4 or 5 am for you. But the whole thing will be shown 8 times so you will have plenty of chances to join the stream and chat.

After I do a few more test streams and make sure everything is up to par. I will post a schedule of when each movie will play.
