Plus, with confirmation that the big three are coming back, and the fact that since the format has been proven with The Clone Wars and ostensibly has a much higher budget now, maybe we could see some small cameo voices...?

I agree. I have no idea how a "lightslingshot" is even possible (not that lightsabres are either, but they're at least more plausible...).
Hell, why even have a lightslingshot when a wrist-mounted blaster would work just as well (if not better)?

Sigh, those recent images have killed a lot of the excitement I was feeling for this show. I haven't been following it super closely so I don't know if it's been sen before or not but that slingshot thing is just stupid and disappointingly Disney-ish. And MORE wannabe boba fett crap? Yawn. I mean, I like Boba Fett, he's a cool character with an awesome costume and intriguing mystery about him (assuming, like me, you completely ignore the prequels and only watch the OUT). But geez have they run that into the ground.
The light saber sling is really childish. It's not worse than Midichlorians, but it definitely makes me suspect that Rebels isn't going to win back anyone the franchise lost over the PT fiasco.
We must all remember that The Clone Wars was awesome and it had lame crap like laser bows as well.

The more I've learned about this series, the less excited I've become. The more I've learned about the ST, the more excited I've become. At least it isn't the other way around.

Also, it seems that the R5 or whatever has a rocket in his butt. But yeah, a twi'lek girl, laser slingshot and pink female-Fett... that pretty much killed this for me.

This is looking like much more of a "kids show" than TCW was. The imperial stuff they showed at the beginning of the project was promising, but the rebels are not impressive.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
They're not really "Rebels" as yet though. This whole show is about the formation of the Rebel Alliance from its very earliest beginnings to where it eventually ends up before the start of SW77.
I expected a "strong" woman and a talking pet. They added the woman already, but there's no talking pet. I guess the droid is the pet :-)
