First table read is tomorrow. Oscar Isaac is rumored for a role, in addition to a newcomer.

Isaac, Driver, and Boyega are all solid actors so if that's true I'm happy. And if they went with a newcomer, I'm sure she must be great too, to beat out established actresses.

The question, I suppose, is who would they be playing? None seem like they'd be great choices for the offspring of any established characters. Isaac, I think would make for a fantastic protagonist/Skywalker, even if he doesn't quite look the part. Driver is apparently the villain, that should be interesting. Boyega, who knows. Richardson-Sellars is probably the role that rumors say is a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Honestly that seems random enough to be either true or incredibly inaccurate. But if it's true, there must be a good reason for it. We'll wait and see.  

But shouldn't there be more members in the cast? Perhaps smaller roles have not been cast yet.

Rumor is that she got the role Lupita Nyongo was rumored for.

I'm going back through all these long months of news stories and it's making my head spin.

If in the first scene we discovered that the PT was basically a bad dream that Luke had, it would still be canon in that it would be depicted as being a dream that "actually" happened to Luke.   I think JJ will do just fine.  :D

Come to think of it, thank you for commenting, Leper Messiah TR, you've helped me work out how I will finally be able to work the other trilogy into my head canon;  TCW really happened, and the PT was a bad dream Luke had about his dad sometime between ESB and ROTJ.

This is the one time the "it was all a dream horrifying nightmare" gimmick actually works. I still prefer to pretend the PT doesn't exist, though. It's a more elegant solution.

Also, Jar Jar Abrams is totally how I'm going to refer to him until the end of my days if he fails to deliver ;)
