Strange thing about the bubble gum cards. Here in the U.K, I remember collecting the red cards which were series 2 first and then the blue cards series 1 came after. I definitely remember this to be the case. I don't remember any of the other series being available here after that.

They must have reversed the release order for some reason? They might have licensed out the design elements to a U.K. company who just did their own thing.

The blue ones seem to be the sets everyone remembers.

Yeah, it's a mystery. When did the bubble gum cards first start to appear in the US ? Maybe something to do with the UK not even having Star Wars here until the December. That means we maybe did not even have any cards until early 1978.

Late 1977 I think.

I'm still wondering what Obi-Wan is doing with Mace's lightsaber.

It's too blue to be Windu's saber (on my screen, at any rate).

I collected the blue first, then the red and I had a few yellow ones as well.

Dis george make Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker the same person just to spite Alec Guiness for not liking his role as Obi wan, thereforeaking the character a liar?

Posted a reply to the wrong thread by mistake. Sorry!

Managed to pick  up a new Black Series 6" Stormtrooper. This figure and Boba Fett are selling now for high prices. Had to pay over the top for mine but pleased I now have one. The figure looks excellent and I can see why they are selling out. I saw both Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper for £75 each in London ! I think now that pre-order is the way to go as I can see this over pricing is going to be the normal practice now with figures such as Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Biker Scout (with speeder bike) set for future release.

I'm disappointed that there's no Darth Sipid or Darth Ane in the EU.

I'm still searching for a replacement for "Vader" in the ROT.

Am I missing something? Apart from the vague resemblance of R2, I don't understand what it has to do with SW?

The wife and I were making fun of Episode I yesterday (she says "mesa clumsy" when she trips over things, to which I reply "you were banished because you were clumsy?"), she says we should try watching it again. I said I hadn't seen it without RiffTrax, Ridiculous, or Plinkett commentary in years. She suggested we try watching it with the Plinkett commentary. We got halfway through the pod race before turning it off. Even with Plinkett's completely random commentary, we couldn't make it.
