G-d and politics:
Let me help this out a bit, in the bible, Book of Romans chapter 13, 1st verse to be specific, it states and I do summarize. That there is no authority, including government leader, on earth that is not appointed by G-d. The rest of the chapter goes on to discuss various other issues pertaining to this, feel free to read it if you like. BUT I see no reason why it has been brought up here. There is a large collection of various different beliefs and perspectives here and i fail to see why this "Christian concept" is applicable. If this was a Christian board or even a conversation that was discussing G-d and any relationship to government it may be applicable, but since by and large this is nothing like that I would recommend it be left out, especially if you don’t know where the concept comes from...
Abortion.
Just for some clarity G. Bush doesn’t want to completely ban abortion, he is in favor of limiting its usage from at will pregnancy protection, to before a certain point in the pregnancy, in cases of rape and or incest, and in cases where the mothers life is in danger.
Personally, i am against abortion in many of its forms. I fail to see how your own personal lack of responsibility has to do with the destruction of life. For every one child in America put up for adoption there is an average of 25 couples waiting to get that child. I also fail to see, and this is where I guess some of us just have to respectfully disagree, how a growing child is a part of the women’s body. It is after all its own entity. Again this is just my perception which I believe to be true, (and it is true whether you like it or not

Separation of Church and State.
This concept is simple. The government can’t establish or favor in any way any one, or lack there of, religion. It must stay a neutral body when such issues arise. It does not however mean a banning of religion or a banning of people who are religious in anyway from public office. (That would fall under the "against" wording)
Lastly... I wish more people would spend the time educating themselves at least a little bit. Support Bush or Support Kerry or who ever you like, just make sure you have reasons for it, don’t just jump in and ramble off some inane dribble about one or the other, have some semblance of thought behind what you say; there are plenty of reasons to support or not support any political figure, find some...
