I've seen people comment on TFN saying they prefer the original trilogy but still know there are more models and miniatures in the PT.

I know this is hard for you to grasp, but it's possible to like something with X number of models and miniatures rather than Y number of models and miniatures.

You look ridiculous being so rude all the time. I'm not even going to give you the benefit (and that's exactly what it is: a BENEFIT) of a comment.

I'm not the one who spams originaltrilogy.com with the same post about the prequels being awesome over and over.

I guess, and I mean this genuinely, regardless of which one of us is actually in the wrong, I shouldn't have gone as far as I did. I was being rude with the "and that's exactly what it is: a benefit" thing. Sorry.

Alright, now try sticking with your apology this time instead of forgetting about it.

I wonder how detailed the treatments are and how true to them the finished movies will be.

The only benefit you could give anyone here is to go away.

If you think that the criticism of the prequels stems solely from a perceived lack of models and miniatures, then you need to go back and read the numerous threads devoted to their failings. The deal breaker for me was the blatant disregard for continuity with the OT and even among the PT films themselves. I have faith that the new films will at least respect the Originals.

That was my deal breaker as well. I'm no fan of the CG effects in the PT, but I could have learned to live with them if the story had actually been good and in line with the OT.

As much as I'd like Peter to play Chewie again (if he can physicaly do it), having him "filming" something  in may do not mean it's Episode 7; and even if it is for Episode 7 it could also be an unmasked cameo (and that would be sweet from J.J to do that kind of thing for Peter, IMO)

Good thinking, as THAT would be a 'cameo' appearance I'd be happy to see, if he can't physically play Chewie again.  Warwick Davis was seen in the crowd scenes in TPM, and I'd be pleased to see Peter Mayhew get a brief moment too in that case.

But where would Chewie be if not with Han?

I guess he'd be back with his old wookie pals?

Although I'd totally go for a pure Peter cameo.

Well, how many super secret projects would he be associated with? There was some Bigfoot movie he was supposed to be in that turned into a silly thread around here a while back.

In any case, you can't just stick anybody in the suit and expect it to be the same. I would want Peter to coach the new guy if it comes to that. Maybe they could get the fellow who played Tarfful in ROTS?

And an unmasked cameo is long overdue. I think just about every other character performer has gotten one except Frank Oz.

Cameos don't belong to SW IMHO. Actually, unless people are playing themselves, I don't like them in any films, they take you right out of the picture when you know it.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

To be honest, I think Episode VII should be set close to a hundred years after ROTJ rather than a mere thirty. After all, shouldn't people who are part of an advanced interstellar civilization have a better quality of life than people in the real world? Shouldn't they age at a slower rate than we would?

Ben aged at the same rate as a normal human being.

Ben lived on a backwater desert planet, though, where the healthcare probably isn't all that great, so an exception can be made in his case.

They certainly managed to fix the molten wax Halloween mask Admiral Tarkin used to have.

That's getting into Star Trek TNG territory though. ;)
