The animation itself was done at 12 frames per second so, even with field blending, you should be able to get at least one field that is clean for each frame of animation. If your source videos are no longer interlaced, this won't work, though.

It's the same for the PAL conversions of the Ewoks cartoons; however you will probably find that even if the animation is 12fps, camera pans and zooms are at 24fps - and therefore there are no "clean" versions of certain frames to restore.
