I can't choose to be something I'm not. I could choose to be a bird and fly out of my bedroom window but the results would be messy (probably).

I could buy a jet pack and maybe I would get a fair distance but I wouldn't be a bird.

You could choose to have sex with member of the same gender, you might even like it but unless you were compelled to prefer it to sex with a lady of the opposite sex before you chose it you would just be a heterosexual having gay sex and there is a lot of that about too.

I have for as long as I can remember (2 or 3) been more drawn to bodies of the same gender before I even knew what sex was.

So how is that a choice?
