As a heterosexual man, it is NOT okay for me to force my beliefs on you.

Let's stop speaking abstractly.

1. What exactly does it mean for a homosexual man to force his beliefs on someone else? An example or two is fine in lieu of a precise definition.

2. What exactly does it mean for a heterosexual man to force his beliefs on someone else? An example or two is fine here as well.

I believe the issue is with the word "force".  I would never tell my daughter she couldn't go to school with or have gay friends.  I would never tell my daughter she couldn't be gay.  Now, if I said, knowing she was gay, that she could not be and I tried to force her to be heterosexual .... that is NOT acceptable to me.

Does that help any?

Yes, it does, but what about gay people forcing their beliefs on others?

I've never encountered a single instance of this (despite having many gay friends), so I've no idea what it might mean.

Are you referring, perhaps, to the whole genetics thing mentioned earlier in the thread?

I'm genuinely confused and I'm not trying to argue one side or the other, so please don't think I'm trying to set some kind of debate-style logic trap.
