I saw 5,5 GB version of 2.5 on Thepiratebay
Thanks for the tip.
After months on and off of trying to get this (or any version 1, 2, 2.1) I finally was able to get that reduced version. Even better it played on my DVD player and looks great.
I quite like the SE's overall but I also always maintained that HQ versions of the theatrical versions should have been released on DVD.
I never had any major problem with the SE's except for the Han-Greedo scene which just doesn't work any way you try to adjust it. If Greedo shoots at all he can't possibly miss.
The other problem with the scene besides adding the Greedo shot is that the whole scene needed more changes. The addition of the Jabba scene means that audio of Han from there is no longer needed with Greedo. Greedo doesn't need to convey the lines Jabba uses anymore as now we have Jabba saying them.
What the SE needed to do was to revert to Greedo's lines as seen in the Catina edit on the BD bonus disc.
Other than that the only thing of the SE's that I think was something that could be done without is changing the color timing. I faked my own color timing by adjusting the levels of my TV to best match the IB print photos I found online. Worked not too badly overall at least it restored the basic look of a 70's movie.
So like everyone else awesome production from Harmy and all those who worked with him on the video and the audio streams.
