Yeah, but still. Maybe I didn't word it properly. Who would be a more likely father? I'm sure Han would do fine but he just inherently doesn't seem like a family type.

I hear ya. I guess it's all point of view. I grew up around guys much more like Han than Luke (well, my father is much more Luke than Han, but I'm talking about peers.) and I've watched them change into responsible adults and wonderful fathers.

My siding with Han also comes from the films. He's the one who falls in love and we see that change him. Well, that and his dirty deeds landing him in a block of cement. I'm sure that had something to do with it as well ; )

This is my own take on things, but by the end of RotJ, Luke seems to be more focused on his training as a Jedi and possibly spreading the "good word" of the force than settling down and starting a family. Han is in prime position to be doing just that the last time we see him. So, for me, Han is the best pick for the daddy role in the new films. Also, this way we don't need any new characters and explanations as to where the kids came from. It's already been set up In TESB (where Han and Leia fall in love) and ROTJ (where their bond is cemented).

Though, if after 30 years Luke still hasn't found a guy or gal... well that will just be sad. I like Luke. I just want to see the boy happy!
