^^ Same here. I recall it was mentioned that ROTJR will be altered more than ANHR & ESBR. So I'm VERY curious about Ady's plans for the Jabba sequence and cannot wait for the eventual thread where we can all discuss it and offer ideas.

Please Please PLEASE let something be done about the Ewoks!!  Suspension of disbelief can only go so far, and teddy bears defeating professional soldiers in armor always kicked me right out of the movie.

Hopefully we'll get a sneak peek at the hanger shots as they come together...  Can't wait to see what's changed.

I actually like the Ewoks themselves, unlike the gungans, but as soon as they start fighting stormtroopers, it feels like the gungan battle in TPM, just without all the crappy CGI.

well if Jabbas Palace gets a rework, the Endor battle really needs one too

ok, I like the Ewoks, but find it rather unconvincing to have them be the "guerilla troops" originally the Wookiees meant to be ...

I'm fine with them as some sort of distraction and helpers/guides for the Rebels, but them to be "superior" over the elite troops ?!

and how or when did they built that very heavy "AT-ST Crusher" - such a thing wouldn't be unnoticed by scouts patrolind the woods ;-)

All that really needs to be done to fix the Endor ground battle, is to insert some home made trooper vs rebel action.  The Ewoks fighting for the their home is not necessarily unbelievable, it just shouldn't be center stage.  If a bunch of short battle scenes were intercut into the current footage, showing more rebel grounds troops in some action, then it would fix everything, IMO.

I love Ewoks. Sorry. I love everything about them.

....they had a little special forces training with John Rambo, who always had you thinking, "How the hell did he know that the cop was going to pause under that EXACT tree??"

Obviously, they were originally intended for fending off Gorax attacks. ;)

Where were you in '77?

well, yeah sure ... it is just unbelievable to have teddy bears kill full armored troops with sticks and stones ;-)

hm, maybe if the Ewoks had the Gorax as "pets", THAT would make things different, think something like the Rancor ...

There's evidence scenes were shot with Ewoks using Imperial blasters. One brief shot made it into the film, and a couple shots turn up in Battle For Endor. You can guess who probably made the decision to leave it all on the cutting room floor.

Since we're not talking about ESB or ESB:R, I'll just throw out the fact that I miss Gaffer Tape.

nah, I'll wait for the propper ROTJ:R thread to bash some more one the Ewoks ;-)

great stuff about that flaps - I am doing some model customising myself and to build such cool parts is really nice, can't wait to see them in action!

I hope Black Angel comes to blu-ray around the same time as ESB:R is finished.

The film had a strong effect on me back in 1980 and it would be fun to replicate much of the original view experience by seeing it again with a version of ESB with a few surprises.

I only read about it, hope to see it someday - yeah, would be cool to have an "old school" viewing session ;-)

How's that big-ass computer monitor working for you, Ady?

:)

It's still working great, thanks Jacen :)

Today i filmed the very last shot for the speeder flaps. Had some disasters along the way ( the paint deciding to react with the under-painting and bubble up all of a sudden on the 5 paint job, where it has been fine for the 4 previous ones, for example), but it pretty much went a lot smoother than it could have gone. The very final shot was for Wedge's screen right speeder flap. The final shot became the only one that didn't need a second or third take. I got it in one. Now to stick it into the composite and get the last few shots for this section completed............

And here is a short clip of the flaps in action.....

NEW SPEEDER FLAPS

 Simply stunning work Adywan! :-D

This has probably been asked (And answered before) but even as a kid this shot always bugged me a little (Awesome panel readouts btw!)...

...because the impact flash has been composited about 10 foot higher than the top of the AT-AT. In my mind I always put it down to the shot impacting off the (Invisible) shields. But does an AT-AT have shields? I know armour is mentioned but are shields? Not a huge issue in any case.

To make it a little clearer for anybody wondering here are the 10 frames of the shot and impact (Taken from Harmy's DE)...
