@PDB: as it seems that the theatrical mix was 5.1 - as you can find in this thread - so probably the DTS from laserdisc will be the same; as both DD+ from HD-DVD and DTS-HD MA from BD are commercialy available, I thought to not add these tracks for now - but I will do a BD-50 with them only if I will find out the laserdisc tracks for german, spanish and french, plus italian from my own LD.

So, I should only choose one track between PCM (easy) and analog...

@applesandrice: this project is born almost for joke... I mean, somewhere I read the HD-DVD was considered better than the BD; I had the HD-DVD... as I must learn how to rip an HD-DVD, I made 1+1=2, so...

It's almost done, I just have to capture the laserdisc soundtrack; I think there will be no compatibility issue this time, as video will be left "as is"... of course, I will test it with more players than my two PS3 consoles, now that I know the latter could read almost everything, while "normal" stand alone BD players are more "picky" (^^,)

Of course, beta testers with a BD burner AND a standalone BD player - NOT a PS3 - are more than welcome!
