Wait, I forgot that your pawn was blocking your FS, so I'm moving Tx18+S instead. :P

The tile general only jumps to the second square forward or steps one backward. It doesn't step to the first square forward. The move you are thinking of is the copper general's move.
*sigh* :P
I'll go with my first move then: T-17

Sometimes I find myself making moves that I'm not really sure will work. I'm kind of playing a bit more by intuition than by strategy here. I thought I had you, but you did a good job pulling out of the trap I'd laid for you.
T-12
I must confess to playing strategically far less frequently than I should. I think I would do better if I planned ahead more, but I generally only have a rough idea of what future moves I want to make.

I don't know if I'll end up ahead or not, but it's time to get the action started. :)
I should remind you that the rules we are playing by only have promotions, not subsequent demotions. So you still have a phoenix.

Thanks, I completely forgot the new promotion rules.

I used to bullseye wamp rats in my T-15 back home.

Well, the Flying Swallow I just captured is not much bigger than 2 meters.

This isn't going to end well...
It's not over yet. I'm not sure I can force a win even now. FSx26+B#

I don't know how I can hold you off though. It's only a matter of time before you finally trap my king. I'm being put in check every move and I'm not able to make any offenses of my own at this point. If you do fail to put me in check though, I might be able to tip the balance enough to even things out a bit.
Man, I kept trying to make a move last night, but just as I'd determined to win the game, OT.com stopped functioning. This is what I had typed last night:
Oh, you're right. I didn't see it before, but I can force a checkmate. Bx29. Your only move is Kx29, after which I play RC*28 mate.
So tell me, what do you think of this version of the game? Any pointers or nitpicks you might have about it?
I will add that I am thankful for another fun game with you. This setup seems to allow for a playable game with interesting interactions and combinations. The reverse chariot saw more action, the cannons never came out (which is okay with me, as they are cool, but last game they were too dominating in the game's strategy), and other pieces had a chance to shine. In particular, the flying sparrow/bishop had more opportunities, which I think was nice. I also kind of thought it was fun to use the threat of turning your reverse chariot into a cannon to prevent you from capturing one of my pieces. I think the game turned out quite nicely. Again I ask, do you have any thoughts?
