The last book that Zahn wrote that I know of is Survivor Quest, which happens approximately one year before Vector Prime.

Speaking of Survivor's Quest, I thought it was a pretty good read. Some of the plot twists you can see from a mile away though, but I would recommend it.

And about Zahn, I think he just needs to drop this whole Outbound Flight storyline, it was never really all that interesting in the first place, and just create some new stories. Post-NJO of course, because the time between ROTJ and VP is getting really, really crowded.

He's a badddd dude. Luke almost had his head handed on a platter, but of course Luke prevailed. Just goes to show you that Luke is the greatest of the Jedi, second to Yoda of course.

I think that Shimraa was reffering to the twist that Onimi was using the Force to control Shimrra.

Honestly, I thought it wasn't that surprising, and it honestly fell a little flat with me. It made ever scene with Shimrra fell as though it meant nothing. It would be like if In the end of Jedi, we learned that Vader is in fact, not Luke's father.

i know what you mean but i personally liked that twist, it was somthing i did not see coming and whenever i get those in books i like em. i would go as far as using your comparison thou.

I just thought it is a little anti-climactic that a 5 year war that has cost 400 trillion lives comes down to a fist fight between a pacifist Jedi and a crazed Shamed One.

and a space battle the spaned an entire solar system, that included thousands of ships and i'd say if you included the ground battles millions of soldiers.

we were but then there then you said that the end was a let down cus it came down to luke vs gim ( or what ever his name is) I found it really cool how it was a shamedone who was running th entire vong invasion. and i was surpirsed at how close to death luke came. there were time when i thought he would actually die.

I can't be certain, but I read something on theforce.net that indicates he may be dead by the next book series.

I doubt Lucas Licensing will allow a main character like that to die in a novel(chewie nonwithstanding).

thou i actually thought luke was going to die in unifying force the fact is that we are into the next generation of SW now.

The amphistaff's poison is still in Luke, so Luke has a vongsense, but his life is also shortened. It is possible that he would die simply of old age/ poison.

Luke is not immortal, and if the EU keeps going on, then he'll have to die sometime. Why not after decapitating Shimrra and raising Ben.

In Luke's vision, Ben didn't even seem to be a soldier.

But always in motion the future is.
