Scientology certainly does seem dense, sorry to hear about your woes.

Wow Neglify, the whole of your 'Post 50' is some of the most batsh*t scary authoritarian stuff I've read outside of George Orwell's '1984'! You are well rid of this and shouldn't regret leaving/being-pushed-out for a second. I'm hoping your family can see the light and can come with you some day.

It certainly is easy to see why L. Ron didn't like psychologists.
Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright
I highly recommend borrowing this book from a public library or even buying it. Made me stead-fast as to how ridiculous of a cult Scientology is. Also a quite good read too.
That's like watching The Sixth Sense to find out what the ending is after reading the premise.

Agree, that book is fascinating.

While I personally feel that Scientology has a lot going against it, I have a hard time with exposes. They often portray things in quite an unfair and inaccurate fashion. Speaking as a Mormon with several nasty books written about my religion (and I've read several), I find it hard to trust purely antagonistic treatments on even the stranger religions.
That is a good viewpoint to have. To anybody wanting to study, I would suggest reading both anti-Scientology books and Scientology books back-to-back. Read "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health" and then "Bare-Faced Messiah." "Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought" coupled with "Inside Scientology." "Introduction to Scientology Ethics" and "Blown for Good."

So many words swirling through my head right now, a lot I want to say but don't know how to really.
Yesterday my sister attested to "The State of Clear". (Google to learn.)
In Scientology, going Clear is a huge step, a milestone that can take much time and money to achieve. Me personally I didn't get any auditing on Dianetics so I have zero reality with erasing engrams. But I was a Class V Dianetics auditor and I do have some experience with the shit.
Clear is fucking hard to explain in one neat little paragraph. It's basically like this... All you guys reading this are Homo Sapiens. Dianetics Clears are Homo Novis. It's all part of the cult mindtrap. Implant the idea that cult followers are better people than normies. And the Suppressive Person label is another way of segregating the mutts from the poodles. All in all just bricks in the wall.
She looks so fucking happy doesn't she? Of course she's happy. Hubbard's definition of Happiness was basically "The overcoming of obstacles in achieving goals". She's been getting Dianetics auditing for probably 7 years now -- not constantly of course, she's a full-time staff member -- and boom! Mission accomplished.
The brother in me wants to hug and kiss her and tell her how proud I am.
Losing focus, hard to get the words from the mind/brain to the fingers properly.
They say Clears are rational. Is forced disconnection of families rational? Is the verbal psychological abuse in the daily life of staff and Sea Org members rational? Does it make perfect sense that Scientology turned my sister into a spy and had her look through my room for evidence of crimes against Scientology? Is it logical for staff members to sign legal documents promising to never speak ill of Scientology for the rest of their lives? Is this the Ideal Scene for a religion?
She sees this as her becoming more of herself. I see it as going deeper into the Lost Woods. Bitch is in real deep now, her bubble just got smaller.
I guess I sacrifice my own happiness in order to be free of the mind trap.

You are a brave dude.
Indeed.
Sensible too.
You don't even need an expensive and badly set certificate to prove it either.
Stay strong man.
From the tone of some of your recent posts it sounds like you are going through some tough times because of this situation. Don't worry you'll soon look back on this as the best decision you ever made :-)

Time for some Scientology music!
"Dauntless, Defiant, Resolute"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n9_IZqRoHU
IAS = International Association of Scientologists. The IAS's purpose is "To unite, advance, support and protect the Scientology religion and Scientologists in all parts of the world, so as to achieve the aims of Scientology as originated by L. Ron Hubbard." (They love wordy repeating phrases that repeat words.)
The IAS achieves their purpose by holding fundraisers in every major Scientology organization throughout the year. They do small fundraisers once a month and BIG ones about five times a year.
"Let Them Be"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKpeJNLNIGQ
This is all about how the psychs are drugging the kids and we need to stop doing that.
"Y'All Busted"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDWP37mysBc
This is about how the pyschs are busted for being SP psychs.
"Prove It"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nX0SFo_4Ago
More rhymes about kids being drugged and the education system is bad and shit. Now this is actually a pretty well done track, until the chorus. (Note to self, re-edit this song to be a slam on Scn.)
"We Stand Tall"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyNh1j3dsp8
This is an archaic video and song. Holy hell they played this fucker many times to inspire people into giving money. Fun fact, starting at 3:35 you see the Scientology Management guys from the late 80s/early 90s, the ones with the ugly sweaters. Check out where they are now.

Imprisoned at Gold?
^They should be well protected if they have survived the auditing process.

"The Gold Base" is where top Scientology Management is. Around 100 or more "Sea Org Members" work and live there 7 days a week. This is where David Miscavige (fearless leader) is located.
Razor fences surround the perimeter.
A number of Ex-Sea Org Members have told the press and/or authorities about being imprisoned in one of the double-wide trailers, referred to as "The Hole".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mho0oWe2Ypk
You see, the Sea Org has something called "The Rehabilitation Project Force" that was intended to salvage out-ethics and off-purpose Sea Org Members. You live in cramped quarters either in the basement or somewhere tucked out of the way. You get put to work doing hard labor and alternately getting "Confessionals". Your basic rights are taken away, you only get to eat table scraps left over from other meals, you get very little sleep, you're not allowed to communicate with anybody unless it's required for the labor you're doing.
Essentially "The Hole" is Gold Base's RPF. Miscavige set it up around 2004 or so, as he felt that the Execs under his command were such fucking degraded beings that they needed a Severe Reality Adjustment.
The Tampa Bay Times described "The Hole" as such:
a place of confinement and humiliation where Scientology's management culture — always demanding — grew extreme. Inside, a who's who of Scientology leadership went at each other with brutal tongue lashings, and even hands and fists. They intimidated each other into crawling on their knees and standing in trash cans and confessing to things they hadn't done. They lived in degrading conditions, eating and sleeping in cramped spaces designed for office use.

WARNING. This is very sad. If you are unable to confront the concept of suicide do not read further.
Sorry if I bum anybody out.

Reflective Note. This may be too "serious" to post on such a happy site as this. I may end up deleting. But this is shit that people go through and I hold the belief that you shouldn't shy away from the ugliness in the world.

Here is a text conversation between myself and my sister, last night and this afternoon.
Sean: Urge to live fading.
Devin: That is a bummer. Who is this?
Sean: The Unknown. *
Devin: Wow.
(18 hour gap)
Sean: I have no idea how you're able to sleep at night.
Devin: Stop it Sean. I'm blocking this number.
Sean: Wow what a terrible human being you are.
so that happened, not very "Clear" is she. Now here's how the conversation played out with my mom.
Sean: Urge to live fading.
(12 hour gap)
Wendy: Revive it! Please call CJC. **
(6 hour gap)
Wendy: Let me know you're okay.
Sean: That'd be lying.
Wendy: Good enough.
What was my purpose in sending those texts? Simple. To tell my mom and my sister that I'm in the middle of some heavy shit. It's called a cry for help.
What is the purpose in posting this? So everybody can see how fucked it is to be born into Scientology.
* My mom is way into genealogy and years ago a guy writing a gene-book on the Negley name contacted her for family information. I hadn't been born yet, I think she was just barely pregnant, didn't even know if it was a boy or girl. So she gave the info and for me she gave my name as "Negley, Unknown. Born circa 1985." It's been a bit of a family joke that I'm the Unknown Negley.
** CJC = Continental Justice Chief. When you're declared SP he's one of your only people you are allowed to contact. Basically she's telling me to call him to try and get a "Committee of Evidence" done to look into the validity of my SP declare.

My mom killed herself.
I hope you don't.
However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

I am very sorry to hear that DM, heart goes out to you.
I don't want to go down that road, it terrifies me, being vocal about it helps diminish the negativity.

It's not just Scientology but Scientology does seem the most successful of the late 20th Century cults that do this to people.
Lots of people I know are in intractable situations like this, not brainwashing cults but situations where escape momentum is not even being sort let alone achieved.
The only advice I can give you is you can't fix other people.
You can only fix yourself and hope others are moved by your example.
If Scientology gave you at any time a false sense of stability through ritual or being part of a community take ownership of your stability by inventing rituals of your own or joining communities of your own choosing.
It's only human to want to seek acceptance from your own kin but they are caught in the same quicksand you have narrowly escaped from. If you don't want to go under again you have to let them come to you. Make it clear to them that the lines of communication are open but don't seek them out in this passive aggressive manner.
There is a lot to live for. You need to define your own tastes, your own path and make your own connections. The Hubbard cash cult at the moment makes all those decisions for your family members and you know the cost and you know it's not for you.
Maybe they will see it's not for them either when they see you succeeding on your own terms. Faltering outside of the cult just reinforces their delusion that Scientology is the panacea. You are enabling their enslavement if you are seen to not survive without the Scientology scam. It's not called a confidence trick for nothing. If you immerse yourself a life of your own design you will bring the boon of genuine confidence back to those you seek to liberate.
All my hopes.
Thanks Bingo! Awesome advice. :)

Sally, please look into professional help. I might not know you real well but I know you pretty well for having never met you, and I know you're a good dude at heart. Your family sucks, fuck 'em.
We love you Neg.
^ Yes! and to Bingowings you listen. I can scarcely believe how oppressive and insane this cult sounds from your recent posts, so it must take a lot of courage on your part. Good on you mate! :-)
