I didn't wear jeans until I turned 30 (found out they are comfortable and great for gardening etc).
and your point is?
The point is sort of obvious.
I didn't wear jeans for the majority of my life but I gave it a go and not only did it not hurt but yielded dividends. Some people find it normal to wear jeans,
Your ideas of normality (or normalcy as you may call it) seem to be very restrictive.
Normal is a position on a Venn diagram nothing more.
It holds no importance of genuine value.
All it means is the majority of people do things one way (now and where you live), rather than another way.
What you call weirdos are also another position on a Venn diagram nothing more.
They hold no importance or genuine value being there beyond people elsewhere.
Venn diagram? I have never heard of that.
What if Weir decided wanted to do the Ice Skating commentary in a suit of armor or using newspapers as clothing or in the nude? That wouldn't be weird? Tell me honestly, if you saw someone take piss into a cup and then pick up that cup and drink the piss, that wouldn't be weird? So there is no such thing as weird? really?
I will however agree it is very possible that my ideas normality could be very restrictive. I admit to being old fashioned and traditionalistic.
