If one HAD SDDS audio to play with one would HAVE to probably spend a large amount of cash for a system that would do 8 channels of surround like a theater does.  Then, the money it would cost just to capture SDDS would be more than said surround system.

The one other thing to remember .... SDDS was the least reliable due to it's placement on the film stock.

Its the reason I have height channels set up rather than side rears 

Some of the SDDS 8 titles have pretty good height info in the HD mixes may just be a coincidence 

I was wondering if there's an audio track of Once Upon A Time In The West out there that's superior to the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 on the blu-ray, a PCM stereo track from a laserdisc perhaps, anybody know of something like that?

It was mono so you want to find an early laser

Does anyone here have Spawn The Movie on LD with DTS?  I'd like to get a bit perfect rip of the audio to use.  I'm just trying to remember if the DTS LD was the Director's Cut or the Theatrical.  I just got my Japan 3 LD Box of Spawn and it looks better than the DVD.  Only minor issue is the japan subtitles are in frame.  Other than that, I think it could still make a nice alternate version.

Yeah, I just saw one on eBay so the DC does have.  It would be just what I need.

The CAV set I just got looks really nice.  They are TOHO discs.  The booklet that came with it was fun as is the bonus LD with interviews with Todd McFarlane and a 30 minute making of special.

Why Spawn Director's cut on Blu-ray is 96min, while on laserdisc is 98min, and Special Edition laserdisc is 97min? Maybe the trailer on laserdiscs is counted in, or the BD has some scenes cut?!?

A little bit OT, but as we were talking about Spawn... do the two Todd McFarlane Spawn animation features (one and two) exist on DVD or BD?

They exist on DVD, which I have, and I believe seasons 1 & 2 are on LD.

I have found Titan A.E. & X-Men 3 (finally).  I have updated post #1 to reflect this.

Nice thing now is, you have gotten to hear these in a different light.  Most here cannot say that.  On top of it all you helped start the movement.

All I want is for people to ask.  Even if it costs me a little to procure something I NEVER pass that along to forum members.  The hunt is part of the fun for me.  It's when people might tell me that I'm going to do it that would stretch my patience thin.  Also, I am a little quirky about personal requests for audio when there is no project going.  Mind you, if we have the audio available and in synch, I would probably be less likely to groan, LOL.

In a nutshell, this thread is for requests regarding DTS cinema audio related to projects, if I can help I will.

Don't beat around the bush anymore, okay?
