JEDIT: The only thing worse than Jake is the text editor here.

 Actually I don't know either. But I guess it's a start.

You said you liked Jake Lloyd.  I expressed confusion.  You...said something that seemed to have no bearing on my response, so...

What?

I don't even know myself. Probably because he survived it - oh look, let's just forget it!

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.

No way, you started this :p

Of course he survived, how else would we get to Ep. 4?

Also, the end of the credits to Episode I really sends a chill down my spine... likey!

Almost everything.

The cinematography.

The dialogue. ("Hello There")

The MUSIC.

The lightsaber duels.

The vehicles with their sleek looks (Naboo Starfighter, Royal Naboo cruiser, Eta-2 class interceptor, venator, so many more).

The tragedy.

The characters.

The huge amount of models, life-size props, and miniatures.

The CGI.

Some of it was good, but it didn't look like Star Wars.

The dialogue. ("Hello There")

I love how you used an example of dialogue that they borrowed from the OT. Name some original dialogue in the PT that is good.

The MUSIC.

I can't argue about that, though some of the best music is from the OT.

The lightsaber duels.

There was no emotion in them, but some of them are entertaining to watch. They could have been done far better though.

The vehicles with their sleek looks (Naboo Starfighter, Royal Naboo cruiser, Eta-2 class interceptor, venator, so many more).

To be honest, I like many vehicle designs in the PT, except for the fact that they all looked shiny and new ("all" is an exaggeration, but for the most part, they did). One of the things Star Wars was best known for was the fact that everything looked used and not sleek and shiny. Watch almost any other sci-fi film if you want sleek and shiny.

The tragedy.

There was no tragedy. The story had a happy ending. Anakin turned into an amazing character, the awful Jedi were destroyed, and the silly politicians were killed.

...I do, in actual fact, agree it is a tragedy, but certainly not a good tragedy. It wasn't about good people and a good republic going bad, but bad people and a bad republic getting worse.

The characters.

Some of the characters that are from the OT (Obi-Wan, Palpatine) as well as Qui-Gon and the physical appearances of Darth Maul and General Grievous were good, but the rest (Jar Jar, Anakin, Padmé, Count Dooku, etc.) were pretty terrible.

The huge amount of models, life-size props, and miniatures.

The percentage of models and real sets compared to the OT is very low.

The CGI.

Some of it is actually OK, but too much of it was used for the characters to deliver a convincing performance.

You know, you are a very entertaining troll/spammer/whatever you are.

Yes to RicOlie_2 ^ you listen.

I'm pretty sure I pointed out this following analogy somewhere else to you, but here it is again as I don't think you heard it the first time...

Saying there is 'more Models in the PT than the OT' is like saying there is 'more sugar in a Lemon than a Strawberry'. It might be true but a Lemon still tastes horribly bitter compared to a sweet succulant seasonal summery Strawberry (How's that for an alliteration). Translation = Your point is irrelevant.

It just took a different route, and a better one, in my opinion.

The dialogue. ("Hello There")

I love how you used an example of dialogue that they borrowed from the OT. Name some original dialogue in the PT that is good.

How about the story of Darth Plageuis the Wise, or

Obi-Wan Kenobi:[anguished]You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness![picks up Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber]Darth Vader:I HATE YOU!!!Obi-Wan: You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you.

Darth Vader: You've turned her against me!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: You have done that yourself!Vader: YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME!
Obi-Wan: Your anger and your lust for power have already done that. You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind, until now...until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.
Vader: Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan! I see through the lies of the Jedi! I do not fear the Dark Side as you do! I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire!
Obi-Wan:[incredulously]Your newEmpire?
Vader: Don't make me kill you.
Obi-Wan: Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic! Todemocracy!!
Vader: If you're not with me, then you're my enemy!
Obi-Wan: Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must.
Vader: You will try.[They duel]
Lord Vader, can you hear me?
Darth Vader:[In mechanical voice]Yes, Master. Where is Padmé? Is she safe? Is she alright?
Palpatine: It seems, in your anger, you killed her.
Darth Vader: I... I couldn't have. She was alive! I felt it![damages several surrounding objects and droids through the Force. He then breaks the clamps that have been holding him down and takes a few steps forward. Palpatine watches, grinning cruelly.]NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Until the time is right, disappear we will.
[Senator Organa and Obi-Wan bow and start to leave]
Master Kenobi, wait a moment. In your solitude on Tatooine, training, I have for you.
Obi-Wan: Training?
Yoda: An old friend has learned the path to immortality. One who has returned from the netherworld of the Force... Your old master.
Obi-Wan:[surprised]Qui-Gon?!
Yoda: How to commune with him, I will teach you.
"So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause."
"Good. Twice the pride, double the fall."

The MUSIC.

I can't argue about that, though some of the best music is from the OT.

I'm not sure about that, you might be right for all I know, I do like the OT, but I think if I were to place money I'd put it on the PT's music.

The lightsaber duels.

There was no emotion in them, but some of them are entertaining to watch. They could have been done far better though.

I don't think they could have been done better. They were fantastic. And that duel on Mustafar was full of emotion.

I guess that's just preference.

...I do, in actual fact, agree it is a tragedy, but certainly not a good tragedy. It wasn't about good people and a good republic going bad, but bad people and a bad republic getting worse.

Well I think there was tragedy. Again, just a matter of opinion, I suppose.

What about Palpatine, and Mace Windu.

The huge amount of models, life-size props, and miniatures.

The percentage of models and real sets compared to the OT is very low.

ActuallY i've heard people who prefer the OT admit to the seemingly well know fact that there were more models and miniatures in each singular PT film than in the entire OT. I'm pretty sure I've heard people claim, "it's all fake, and it looks totally fake", on a scene that did in fact have two prominent models (the main jedi starfighters in Episode III)

The CGI.

Some of it is actually OK, but too much of it was used for the characters to deliver a convincing performance.

Again, I guess it's opinion.

[a bunch of examples of dialogue from OBI]

I love how many examples you gave are prime examples of the terrible dialogue in the OT. The other dialogue is decent--none of it is "good."

LOL, did you even read what I wrote? :P I mentioned Palpatine, and Mace Windu wasn't that great. He wasn't terrible though.

The huge amount of models, life-size props, and miniatures.

The percentage of models and real sets compared to the OT is very low.

"More models" doesn't mean "a higher percentage of models." Of course the PT had more models. It was loaded with far more ships and a greater variety of things. The Jedi Starfighters you mention were the only non-CG element in that shot. That's why the shot looked fake.

Its kinda sad really that the prequel trilogy is getting brushed aside by Disney & the current SW wave, I suppose the way they look at it it was a badly made back story to the main part of the saga, and its now time to move the story on.

Any recent advertising or Star Wars 7 rumours nearly always use images of the Original Trilogy (the exception would be the CG Yoda)....Star Wars Angry Birds is almost exclusively OT (the iconic Darth Maul being the exception here).....it seams that the prequel trilogy is now fading into the background.

Why?....because they were an experiment, George Lucas was pushing technology forward as he always does, full CG characters, shooting in Digital etc,....but he faltered in the stories & direction, what made the Original films so strong was missing in the Prequels.......the new owners of the Saga know how poor they were and they are banking on the success of the Originals (look at the plans for the SW section at Disneyland......no mention of the prequels)

To suggest that the Prequels are superior to the Originals is like saying a greasy burger is a health food

Other movies were shooting in digital, and released before AOTC. Jason X for one.

Now, Hollywood is flirting with 4K, and Lucas' experiments are forever locked at 1080.
