Why should I be punished financially for distributing something

Just don't distribute it then. No one is forcing you to. Clearly you have no real passion for this project if your instinct is to only distribute it if you can make a quick buck.

Plenty of people have distributed discs through PIF chains without asking for anything. Plenty have helped with the workload for free, and others have outright given their money to the project to get this thing finished.

More than anything, Ady himself is doing this just for the love of it and it's costing him more than it is anyone else. Perhaps the question you should be asking is, why should Ady, or any of the people helping, be out of pocket? I'm going to give you a hint, seeing as your limited intellect seems to restrict you from grasping this - it's not for people like you to profit from it.

The Terminator said:

I may just have to go against your word on distribution of these. There are many people who I know that would like this edit, but do not have Blu-ray burners, blank Blu-ray cases & discs, and do not know/are not interested in purchasing them and downloading and burning these edits themselves.

Then Hasta la vista, baby. You've been referred to the rules and outright told in posts, yet you still think it's ok to not only still do it, but openly announce that you're still doing it. If it wasn't for your clear stupidity in previous posts, I'd think you were a troll.

The Terminator said:

What are the penalties if caught distributing these for the cost of producing them on physical media, shipping, plus a few additional dollars for labor? I see people selling fan edits on amazon and ebay all the time. I have emailed some of them and some responded claiming it is legitimate if you just sell them for the cost of the physical media, shipping, and a few additional dollars for labor of making them. I found out that it may still be illegal and I emailed them back telling them that, and only one responded saying "they will take it under advisement."

It's piracy, so you figure it out. We're already operating in a grey area by distributing it for free. Add money into the equation and it's definitely illegal. Maybe you aren't cut out for this line of work. You seem to have missed the subtleties of how to properly act like a Star Wars bootleg baron. If only those sellers you quoted weren't so savvy -something you appear to have missed as you appear to be taking all their bullshit excuses at face value.

I wish there were more criminals like you. They'd practically arrest themselves.
