part of me wants to say "Apologize accepted, Captain Needa", but I won't. ;)

It's GouT.  and NON-Animorphic 16x9 (meaning it's 4x3 then 2:35.1 on your tv...itsy-bitty teeny-weeny yellow polka-dot bikini on your TV).  As I said, there are MANY other awesome GouT preservations done by folks here that are shades better than what was released in Lucas's mind to get us to shut the hell up about wanting to buy GouT on dvd.

Check your PM box in a minute for a MySpleen invite.

Seeing as there is a lot of activity on this thread again, any eta on the Star Wars (OT) blu ray? I thought I read it would be completed before the new year. Has it been completed and I've missed the memo?

trust me, you'll know when it's done.  They won't release it until it's up to snuff.  They  can take another year if they want imo, as long as it's what they feel comfortable releasing.

Well hopefully Moth3r will visit this thread and delete the last 10 or so posts, we all know that we do not share links\torrents\etc. to the retail discs, WTF!

Could you please delete all posts after #3891? Thanks.

I was hoping for more information on this release. How disappointed I was...

How much extra information do you actually want that is not somewhere in the previous 3908 posts???

Go back to Post 1 and start at the beginning and you will learn so much about the work that has been done so far with both video and audio for all three films.

 I meant progress wise...

I believe at this point it's just menus and quality control checks holding the release back.  Though it confuses me that those have held it back for so long, this is a project these members have taken up in their spare time so it's understandable.

We are all on break right now until the end of the month, ANH 97 SE is done and ready to release, we are still working a few bugs out of the menu's for SW 77 as this release is really different from the previous one, we had audio changes, we now have subs, as well as some extras, so the menu's had to be pretty much re done from our old release.

By the way, these menu issues are not what was holding this back for so long, in case some of you have missed it we are also doing a lot of NON Star Wars releases, plus we just went through the Holidays which means a lot of non working on projects Family stuff, plus 2 of the members of our Team recently got married(not to each other either lol) so just hang tight these are coming!

Ah, my mistake.  For those curious the thread for Team_Blu's other projects is over here.

Also, congratulations to those two members!

Even I didn't know 2 members got married. Congratulations!

(DJ is the one taking care of most contacts and I'm just working on the video, though we're taking a break now.)

How is the 1997 HD ROTJ being made? Is it a mix of the various hdtv 2004 versions with the highest quality 1997 dtv for certain elements?

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

If we had mixed in the 2004 versions they wouldn't be the 1997 versions. :)  The colors (and some other things) are very different in the 2004 versions since they started from scratch with them.

We're using the TB versions of 97 SE with some lost frames taken from Gkar.

Author

but the Gkar and TB aren't in hd...are you upscaling the material?

If so, lost interest. Would rather see something in native 480p than upscaled 720p unless it's a mixture of material like Harmy's despecialized.

We are indeed upscaling them but also color correcting them a little bit. It won't be nearly as advanced as our GOUT project though, since I originally didn't even want to do the 97 SE since I'm not interested in it, but promised DJ to do so since he wanted to.

We all have our different views on these things, personally I'll probably never watch the 97 SE again after doing this project but I can tell you it'll be the best looking version so far, next only to the theatrical prints.

Hey!  Just wanted to say I'm very much looking forward to this project.  The V3 DVDs have been my version of choice since their release, and I can't wait to see what improvements you guys are cooking up with this 720p AVC.  Keep up the great work, and count on me to seed 'til the cows come home.

Danfun128: Always read at least the first page of a thread, and please refrain from shitposting.  There are lots of projects to choose from.

Can't wait! 97 Special Editions have a special place in my heart! Are you guys getting closer to being done? Thanks for all that you do!

Was there a V1 Blu-ray at one point?

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.
